5th Gen 4Runner Gullwing Door - Replacement for rear quarter panel windows
Hope I'm not stepping on any toes but I thought this was really neat. I was looking at the Rago equipment racks for the rear cargo area and thought how neat it would be to have a gullwing door for the rear windows to access both sides of the panel and have increased functionality for storage. I googled around and texted a vendor that I had found and he responded with "Spy Video" of a product that he was developing.
I know nothing about the timeline for development other than this is video of a prototype. I wasn't asked to not share it, but I will take the video down if asked.
Cost for the same product on a Landcruiser was $1200 so I would assume that would be the same or in the same ballpark here.

Very interesting. If they can assure a solid seal on that window I'd be pretty interested.
Here's a video on youtube of this modification on a Landcruiser:

The other issue that I see is for 2014-2017 5th Gens, I believe the AM/FM Antenna is built into those windows. I wonder what the solution would be for that.

Is it? I wondered where they moved it to. No worries I'd just get it built Ito a 2m HAM antenna / shark fin replacement built by disguised antenna / US communications out of Las Vegas

My very first thought: "Looks like an invitation to a prybar".
if you have a prybar and want to get into the car, busting a window would be a lot easier than messing with this. In fact you could do that with a smaller glass tool and not even need to carry a large prybar.
