Mass 2017 Off-Road Build

Mass Overland Build - 2017 TRD Off-Road Premium in Super White

05/11/2017 Picked up 2017 Off-Road Premium at 9 miles.

05/13/2017 Plasti dip over 2 days.

05/23/2017 Hitting the Texas dirt. (Coupland, TX)

06/04/2017 ARB Rear Diff Breather Install

Unfortunately, I routed part of it right next to the catalytic converter and had to cut the burnt piece off and built a small coupling using the remaining ARB thingies and just sealed them with silicon tape.

07/12/2017 2 Month Miles

07/20/2017 KO2's

Went to Discount Tire to order General Grabber X3, but ended up buying these 1500 miles used KO's for $120 each. I think that was a good deal.

07/26/2017 Suspension: Step 1

Ordered Fox 2.0 IFP Front Coilovers Today. Let's see what comes of it.

Front Suspension Upgrade

In the front went with Fox 2.0 Coilovers.

Front:
Droop: 24.5 from 24inch
Center of hub to bottom of fender: 22.5 from 20inch.

Overall ride is great. No nose dive (till I go with rear). Overall love it.

How's the dip in front holding up? How many coats did you apply? How many miles do you put on your T4R in a month?

I've got quite a number of obvious chips; it looks bad. I'll post a picture soon. Been thinking about coating again or taking it off and doing something else. I did around 3 coats originally.

I am about to hit the 3 month mark of owning it in 2 days and as of today I've got 9400 miles on it. Today I was quite sad as I realized I've lost the new car smell because of all the oil and gas related tools I carry around in the trunk.

I drive on average 100-150 miles a day for work.

That looks like it rubs like a mofo.

Nice! I also picked up a Super White Off-Road Premium recently. Gonna be following your thread to get some inspiration.

For myself:

-In mail, TRD Pro black wheels
-Once these arrive, will put on 265/70r16 BFG KO2's

Think I might leave the front grille stock for now, can't justify the $600 Pro conversion.....

Update 2018-01-11 [Interior Lights]

Went missing there for a bit. During that time I've got a couple of upgrades done. Here's the one I did right after the front suspension.

I picked myself some Red Precision LED's for the interior. But decided on white for vanity mirrors.
https://www.precisionled.com/toyota-...9-present.html

Here are the results:

Rear hatch before:

Rear hatch after:

Vanity Mirror Lights Comparison:

Red Map Lights:

Dome and Door Lights Before: (Dome RED is not at all bright and it's hard to see much at night inside.):

Dome and Door Lights After (Dome RED is not at all bright and it's hard to see much at night inside.):

Next upgrade was rear springs and shocks, also removed the step bars to get some sliders later on. Stopped there, but am being delivered a second battery tray from Shrockworks next week.
