Questions about the use of 4runner 2016 limited in Europe (Bulgaria)

Hello from Bulgaria.
I use google translator for better communication. I hope this is not funny for you.
I'm trying to make my English better, I hope this happens soon
Unfortunately, Toyota does not sell gasoline off-road vehicles in Europe, and most nice models are inaccessible to us.
So, as an opponent of the diesel engines, I bought a new Toyota 4 runner 2016 limited.
And the questions did not make the whole car feel great, but there are small things I do not like.

The first is the Fahrenheit to Celsius.
I've read a lot in your forum, I have tried with something but no result.
I bought techstream,launch texa,bosch kts.
But there is no result.
The local Toyota Dealer is my friend, but he can not help.
Its diagnostic device is licensed only for European models and is practically non-functional than the one I bought from ebay.

The second question is about navigation
I tried with a European card but it did not work.
The google applications are inaccessible in my country

Entune app-Inaccessible in your country
Scout gps link app-Inaccessible in your country

Perhaps I have to buy a US navigation card and try to adapt a European map somehow.
I have a friend who works in the garmin of Bulgaria and he said he does not know what cards this navigation works with.
He wants an original card to see the file formats.

Can anyone check the application of scout gps link app if there is a map of europe in it?

There is no compass on the dashboard display. Why there is no indicator.

All cars produced for Europe have adjustable headlamps
Automatically or manually from the dashboard.
Are this cars regulated in any way except the standard screwdriver?

Surely there will be many more questions.

I will be grateful to anyone who helps make the use of this car pleasant.

I wish I could help with the other questions but you should see an indicator by your odometer (N,S,E,W)

@evgeniml -

Welcome to the forum. I think we can overcome some of your problems with some time and effort.

1) http://www.toyota-4runner.org/5th-ge...a-4runner.html

^ Potentially need canadian temp sensor. The other option - is to see if the 5th Generation is like the 4th / 3rd Generation trucks. Once, my 2008 4Runner randomly switched to Metric. I had to search for a solution. The problem: Toyota grounded the Driver Information Center (DIC) for US models and left it open for Metric. If you Un-ground the white / black wire coming out of the DIC, you might get it to switch to metric - see this thread:
Changing Outside Temp from F to C On Display

2) Replace your headunit with a good european head unit. You'll be restricted to weird things like - 104.3 / 104.5 / 104.7 radio stations and won't be able to tune in properly (104.25 / 104.65)

Thanks for your answers.
I have read these topics but there are some things I do not understand.

If you can give me an original Canadian sensor number.
Because if I look for him for VIN, he'll go out for US alone.

When I do a diagnosis, all values are metric.
There is no logic to need another sensor.

This with the attachment and detachment of the wires saw it, but I think it applies to older models.
I do not believe here, too.
But if anyone has an electrical circuit it would be good to look at what it is for.

The equipment is entune jbl.
I'm not spoiled for a new car with alternative radios just for a navi map.
Not hitting all the frequencies is irritating, but only to change the whole system.
And I will need an adapter frame that I will have to order from the us.

Hello my friend. All your complains are valid and unfortunately I do not have any advise other than: "The grass is green, the sky is blue and that's how things are"

Quote:

Nope. Learn to use Fahrenheit. I know your pain, I had the same when I moved to USA many, many years ago. First you try to complain, then scream and cry. Next you try to convert (temp minus 32 then divided by 9 and multiplied by 5) but still not good. Then one day clicks and you just know: 75 is nice and comfy, 105 is hot (maybe not for people in Arizona), 30 is freezing (for people in California), and -20 is cold for people in Minnesota.

Your truck i nothing like you have used to your whole life. You have to love it and accept with all the foreign weird stuff. Pressure in tires is in PSI, not kPa. Fuel usage is in miles from gallons, not litters per 100km. Yes, I know, the fuel pump at gas stations don't give the fuel in gallons, but your odometer is in miles, and car spec is in gallons. So top it off, pay and enjoy your ride. Don't overthink it.

Quote:

I'm afraid you are right. This is the first thing they told me at Toyota dealer: "we may not have computer tools to diagnose your truck". And really, I don;t care as long as they don't need to use it.

Quote:
The second question is about navigation
I don't have it (never wanted it anyway), but I'm afraid the etune is proprietary system, and 4Runner was never expected to run in Europe. so you may be SOL.

Quote:

I have better idea. Screw Etune nav, your phone with google maps will serve you 10 times better.

You have 2016 so I can't tell. My 2012 has compass in the center console but frankly I'm not sure how good it is. I think it need to be calibrated to magnetic deviation - maybe tech-stream can do that. I never bothered with that.

Quote:

Yep. They have also electrically folded mirrors and many other gadgets that the newest top of the line 4Runner is lacking. But guess what, all European cars will not last past 300km without major engine or drive terrain trouble. Now cars are cheep made, full of useless gadgets that will break just when warranty expires - they are expendable. 4Runner is a tank. You will run it, run, and when you are ready to retire it will be hardly broken in.

My advise is, learn your truck as it is, don't try to make it something it is not. I don't know how it is in Bulgaria, but you will probably still to have to modify it a bit to make it legal (lights). But this is only as much of Europe this truck needs to see. Let it be USA truck.

I've heard few times already from people telling me: it uses to much gas, convert it propane (very popular here). I just look at them and say: you have no absolutely slightest idea what are you talking about. This is 4Runner.

Another thing to ask.
How many outputs do the power output 110v have to have the model limited ?
Because I find only one in the trunk.

I want to install an autonomous heater webasto thermo top evo/telestart t100.
Someone did it.
The interesting question is how do I connect the heater to activate the Climatronic?
When the heater is ready to deliver heat, he will submit for control 12v + .
But which connector and which pin to connect it

@Antman - I know you've had this dash apart a few times, can you confirm or deny the existance of a grounding wire to the DIC in the 5th Gen?

Thank you very much for your answers.
I'm really glad when I find friends and understanding from so far.
How great a thing is intranet this is realized by a person sometimes.

These are the answers I was looking for.
I have already printed tables for turning the Fahrenheit into Celsius.
I just need a little time to understand the logic of American cars and their users.
Understand that he will remain an American truck.
To be completely authentic, I ordered from US original 17 wheels for winter tires.
Which, of course, is also a land cruiser but it will not be the same.
For the gas system:
I own more than 15 cars and none of them have a gas system
The gas is for cooking.
Diesel is for heating
Petrol is a pleasure

Unfortunately, Toyota does not sell gasoline off-road vehicles in Europe, and most nice models are inaccessible to us.
So, as an opponent of the diesel engines, I bought a new Toyota 4 runner 2016 limited.
And the questions did not make the whole car feel great, but there are small things I do not like.

The first is the Fahrenheit to Celsius.
I've read a lot in your forum, I have tried with something but no result.

Greeted Evgeni
Hope you enjoy your new truck. My only suggestions in response to your questions are:

1. If navigation is big deal, get a European head unit (and use your phone for google maps/link up). You can find here on T4R.org where people have replaced the head unit if you need help finding a dash kit to make it look nice.

2. If you dig around here you'll surely find people who have installed additional outlets, especially those who added a second battery. I won't advise you on how to wire and engineer the power in your truck, but you can probably find someone who's already done something you'd like to do. (*and to answer your question, just the one 110outlet in the back).
