Anytime back up camera with front camera

I asked the seller but he didn't want to respond. Not sure why as I just want to get clarification.

If you bought it together did he only have one harness all integrated together? Or did he send you two?

Did you notice any loss in quality?

Any issues like reverse lights on when camera is engaged?

Honestly, if he's not answering your questions then I wouldn't buy from them.

Maybe he felt like I was going to ask him and not buy?

But being and engineer I want to know what he did before I play with my electrical system.

Not sure why @bjohnston115 didn't respond to your "question", but I can answer the last question...... it does not turn your reverse lights on, it only activates the camera.

Perhaps giving him a few days to respond might be in order. In either case, his harness looked pretty straight forward on his website.

Based on what I've seen in pictures:
You disconnect your current video feed harness (OEM male, OEM female).
Insert new harness in between OEM harnesses (OEM male - new female, OEM female - new male).
The rear camera version appears to be a single wire that you can simply close the circuit on.
The front/rear version appears to be he same wire, but with RCA ends. Thus, it allows you to select a video source, which would be controlled by a DPDT (on-off-on).

Mine has shipped already so if you want to stop by and have a look, PM your number and I'll reach out to you (assuming your profile location is still SF).

Thanks @perf0rmance and @Saker for the help.
@boyguan @TfourR @skt4271 and anyone else interested...

I do NOT regularly monitor this forum for questions. If I am mentioned I try to get here ASAP to check but quite frankly, I receive too many emails so I turned off most of the notifications from this site. If you send me an email from my website I can assure you that I usually respond to them within minutes and I would hope there are plenty of people who can back me up on that. I am first and foremost a member of the T4R community and secondly a guy who decided to make and sell these harnesses. I also have a normal job just like everyone else and work 50-60 hour weeks just like everyone else.

To answer your question: When you buy the full kit you still get the same parts you would if you had bought the pieces separately. They are individually harnessed that plug into different spots on the Head unit. To perform these functions there is no need for them to be connected and interact.

The anytime backup camera harness has a diode integrated into wire two which enables you to look at the camera anytime without having any lights come on. If you are interested in this mod I will literally walk you through how to make it yourself if you do not want to purchase it from me. In the end I don't think you would be ahead of the game but as I said, I a member of the truck community and will answer those questions.

Thanks again.

Check out the one from Beat Sonic. Very nice OE Toyota Japan partner.

Speak to Eric.

Beat-Sonic CS3EP Front Camera Inteface

We added it to FRS and it looked fine. No impact to reverse cam quality

Hi guys, just a quick question hope someone can help me out. I have the anytime backup camera.

Looks like you can hook this directly to the switch with 12V BUT... Can I hook this to my relay? because that is where my ground and 12V is connected and I want less wires/more organized.

Thanks, Joe

Please give us a bit more detail. What relay? Do you have the front camera kit as well? As always, feel free to send me an email on from my website or on Instagram and i'll be sure to respond ASAP.

What have you used as an input selector for the RCA video input? I'm thinking about using one of these in the overhead "SOS" button place.

Looking for some confirmation on wiring here:

The anytime with front cam requires a DPDT switch. You can only get OEM-style SP switches (i.e., AOB) (*please* correct me and provide a source if I'm wrong on this).

So, any reason I can't use the AOB SPST switch along with a DPDT relay to get one-switch front cam?
