Upper strut mount question

Hi all,

In preparation for installing my lift I have a question regarding the front upper strut mounts for a 2016 trail edition. I have Bilstein 5100s with the toytec ultimate coil over springs that will be going on my truck. This kit calls for reusing the stock front upper strut mounts and shock bushings. However, I was wanting to pre-assemble the front struts and springs before installing them and this would therefore require purchasing front upper strut mounts and the associated bushings/insulators. Does anyone have a suggestion for upgraded front upper strut mounts for this task? I haven't been able to find any upgrade options.

Outside of that, has anyone had experience with this KYB set up? https://bilsteinlifts.com/shop/toyot...iABEgLP2vD_BwE
It claims it will fit up to a 2016 4runner however I search this number on some other sites that claim it will not fit the trail edition with KDSS which mine is equipped with. I think those may have been some generic comments because I can't see what the difference would be in upper strut mounts.

Again I'm just looking for the front upper strut mount hardware and bushings to completely assemble my front coil overs before install. Any suggestions would be appreciated! Thanks!

I'm in the same boat. Kyb is oem for Toyota. I would not hesitate to use it. On my race car I use to use metal pillow balls.

Let me know if you have any issues clocking the top. I was planning on putting it on and rotating as needed. Make sure the coil end faces the same direction as oem. I heard it can hit the sway bar or something. Not sure if this is true

Hi,
So did anyone ever find out if the KYB strut mount kit can be used on KDSS equipped 4runners?
Thanks!
