Multi Information Display Startup

Has anyone ever looked into changing the start up Toyota logo on the multi information display [between the gauges]? It would be for pure novelty and I doubt the effort is worth the "reward" but I'm curious if it has been done.

OP is asking about the display between the gauges in the instrument panel, not the screen in the infotainment system.

Thanks for understanding my question. I suppose I should've emphasized originally that I wasn't talking about the infotainment screen.

Sorry, misread the post. Saw display startup and though you were talking about the nav screen. That said, i would be curious of you could change this as well.

No worries. All too often people ask questions that have been answered millions of times elsewhere.

I really hope someone has either attempted to change that image or has knowledge of where to begin. It would be nice to know where the information on the multi info display is feeding from. My other thought is if it could somehow be manipulated in Techstream. I've used Techstream to turn off displaying the current MPG so maybe a solution using Techstream is possible?

Where's Paul Rudd at?...err I mean @Antman .

There is more than likely not a current option to change that particular display. The information is likely programmed into the instrument cluster itself which is typically called a "unified meter control unit". At least that is what is it is called in other manufacturers such as Infiniti. And more than likely that type of information is not customizable by Techstream as it serves no viable purpose for the manufacturer. Perhaps there is an aftermarket reprogramming option for this but I very highly doubt it since there would not be very much market for this particular modification. I do know that when I have to replace the unified meter control unit assembly on an Infiniti the odometer has to be pre-programmed on the replacement part by a company called Model Electronics. You may perhaps contact this company and see if they deal with Toyota products and have any information on reprogramming the unified meter assembly.
