I don't mind at all that I'll have 1/8"-1/4" less ground clearance in this area if it means not having to do any additional mods to prevent potential exhaust rattle.

Happy offroading.

Not to get too far off-topic, but you're the first one on the forums to ackowledge the awesomeness that is Bloodsport. My favorite action movie of all-time.

Now back to regularly scheduled programming...I did order t-case skid from RCI yesterday, so will report back after installing it and the accompanying spacer to see what, if any rattling occurs.

Happy to report that I encountered no issues with the T-Case install yesterday, and although I likely didn’t need to use the 3/8” zinc spacers, I did anyways yo play it safe. Since they slip into an area that already provides extra clearance on the cross tube, you really only gain I/8”, maybe 3/16” by using the spacer...so what the heck, right?

In all, I’d say I’ve got around 3/8” of clearance between the skid and the pipe...maybe 7/16” if we’re splitting hairs.

I installed the spacers a few months ago and I still get it touching the exhaust on cold weather or in reverse, and that's with the diy exhaust hanger lift.

Looks like folks are using this clamp

Thank you!! I was given an old RCI Transfer Case shield years ago, and finally did the install over the weekend. Had the annoying intermittent reverse rumble and this thread and clamp fixed the problem.

I just installed a full set of RCI aluminum skid plated and did not have this problem.
