Rago 4Runner Support System for factory roof rails

@RagoFabrication posted this to their Instagram recently and it looks to be another awesome product from them.

I was really close to buying the RhinoRack Pioneer SX as I wanted some roof rack capability without going all out and replacing the factory roof rails. Rago's solution is even better for my needs.

looks legit. i would've strongly considered that instead of a full roof rack.

That does look interesting. I decided to add additional rails and keep the factory roof rack instead of going with an aftermarket rack. Depending on how quickly and easily these install/uninstall I might be interested. I have a couple of sets of Yaking Jayhooks for carrying kayaks and the mounts are designed for the factory bars. If this are quick and simple...I'd be in.

That looks very interesting, especially in aluminum. I'm curious about wind noise.

I used this same concept when I built my roof rack. Mine bolts in the grove of the existing rack with 4 bolts.

I seen these over at the TxOv expo over the weekend. Well thought out and executed design.

The last crossbar runs right behind the shark fin and is about a 1/2-1 higher. So loading anything from the back will not hit the fin. I welded a nut on the flat piece of metal and insert this into the grove of the existing rack. So the new rack sits on top of the existing and bolts in at 4 points. The metal on the side is 2 pieces of angle iron welded and grinded/sanded smooth.

Would love to see it installed on a car

I thought about something like this and having a flip up lip so items could rest against the back and front.

Anyone care to venture a guess as to the price and manufacturing time?

From their comments on IG:

Aluminum/steel in bare or powder coated black
<$500/set
Pre-sale will be "later this week and shipping 4-5 weeks"
Different attachments in the works: canopy, rotopax, hi-lift, shovels (maybe more)

I also read that they're selling them in quantities (e.g. 2, 3, 4), but I can't find the comment.

@RagoFabrication can you tell us more?

Hey Guys!!!

Mama Rago here with insider info-

I sent over all of our files to the laser cutter this morning. I'm expecting to get our detailed pricing pretty quickly. My goal is to offer the set of 5 steel powder coated Modular Factory Support Rails for $450-500. The supports will also be offered in sets of 2 and 3. We will offer an aluminum option and full line of accesssories but do not have any pricing details on them until I get our quote back. I already placed an intro batch order of them to ensure perfect fit. We will not sacrifice quality to rush these out.

I anticipate a PreSale to go up this week along with the accessories. Depending on popularity, we would expect our presales to ship within 4-6 weeks.

I do not have any weight ratings at this time. We will be doing some testing and additional pics later this week to show the versatility and strength of them. My husband who would like to say he is 200 pounds (but he weighs more) got on one support with VERY little flex.

We are super super excited to bring this product to you guys. Let me know if I can answer any other questions. Please tag me so I'm notified.

Happy Trails!

I do not have a price on Aluminum and not even a guess at this time. The powder coated steel is the only set I anticipate to be $450-500. I will offer the raw steel cheaper but still do not have an exact cost. I'm heading to powder shortly and will have them price it for us.
