Rago Modular Factory Rail Support System

COMING SOON - PRESALE/GROUP BUY - COMING SOON

Modular Factory Rail Support System

Set of 5 Steel Powder Coated MFRSS

The MFRSS was designed to be low profile and sleek. It works with the factory rail system. The system can allow you to mount a variety of items on your roof.

Each rail is made from pickled and oiled steel. The supports come standard with a variety of holes and slots for mounting versatility. Final product will be sandblasted and powder coated black.

Weight limits are not implied and user/installer should always follow manufacturer stated limits. We will not split and recommend 5 for any RTT.

MSRP $549.95
GROUP BUY Price $450

COMING SOON - PRESALE/GROUP BUY - COMING SOON

I have 25 - 5 piece steel sets on order. I will offer those up as a first come first served basis GB/Presale. We will offer an aluminum option but not yet. We have to run that as a trial internally first.

I should have our accessory mount done hopefully tomorrow to show you all. Then a set will be sent over to one of our testers.

My remaining testers will be getting shipments after they return from powder next week.

I will only be offering the complete 5 as a GB for $450 plus shipping. Smaller sets will be sold once everything is in full production. We will not be offering another group buy for some time after the initial.

If all goes as planned, I will post up the GB Friday night. I cannot hold spots for anyone and it will be first come first served. Shipping will also be sent in order and we would expect shipping within 6 weeks. Obviously we will shoot for a much shorter time and NEVER hold on to goods. We get them out as quick as possible.

Let me know if you have any questions.

From the pics and description you have posted I don't know what you are trying to sell. In the photos it looks like you are selling a wheeled cargo box. A more clear description and photos would be very helpful.

Maybe I'm missing something but it sounds like you'll be starting the group buy at the same time or before your product is sent to your testers. That would leave people signing up for a currently untested product.

sounds like a set of 5 steel crossbars that fit the factory roof rails.

I like the concept a lot, but $100/rail sounds high to me. I get that these are made in USA by a small shop, and not mass produced in China, that's appealing. Aluminum will be even more appealing.

I apologize for any confusion. I started a new thread based off of another thread from @Engineer showing off a picture of our new product we are releasing.

I did update my post to include more details.

We have been testing our product personally without any issues. We definitely will not be releasing a product that will not perform or work as described. Very poorly worded on my part. Our testers are providing additional feedback and pictures as part of our testing process. Much of the feedback will be used to develop add-on accessories and small updates which we do with all of our products.

As far as price, yes it is a little over $100 a support which is still rather competitive compared to other supports on the market that do not have the versatility and options our system has.

Once again, I'm sorry for the lack of details. We have been bombarded with requests regarding the release of the product and I got ahead of myself.

All the Best!

Hi Melissa,

Could you talk about the design of these a little more? What's the idea with the slots and holes? I see they give a bit of adjustment, but I'm having a hard time wrapping my head around how to attach things to the supports. Are you thinking people would use t-bolts through the slots? Or is the underside accessible enough to slip bolts in from underneath while the supports are installed on the vehicle? Is there room room to run straps underneath? Doesn't look like it from the photo....

Thanks,

Chris

Probably, you'd be happier with the less useful and likely weaker OEM crossbars for $94.50 apiece?

The slots allow you to put a ratchet strap on them which we have done to attach the camping box in the picture above. We are making many accessories that utilize these slots. There are also welded nuts on the right and left side of the slots for you and holes for more mounting options.

We will be making a video very soon to show it off.

Love the innovation!

I agree the price is too high for me to only get the length of the factory rail.

Any data on static weight capacity using the factory rails?

Does this make any more noise than stock? Why in packs of 5 vs 4?

5 is what fits best and gives maximum use of the system. I will be offering smaller packages but not on the initial Presale/Group Buy.

I have 4 OEM crossbars and paid less than $200 for all 4 on Amazon so hardly $94.50 a piece. Not trying to jack the thread but that's either bad math or quite a stretch. They can be had all day long from various sources for around $100 a set.

It's definitely not a solution for everyone but some want to keep the factory look but still be able to haul all their gear for their next adventure.

Here is a pic of the install from our tester. The two supports easily holds one of the largest CVT RTT (about 160 pounds). Our customer weighs about 275 and also has got inside without any issues.

We have an RTT on order and expect it here next week. The design itself will remain the same but depending on our additional weight testing, we will be adding additional gussets for strength.

FINALLY!
I'm very interested in these because of the ratchet strap holes. I always have trouble using the factory bars with my straps and always end up looping them back on themselves.

These look to have very little clearance over the roof which means there is likely to be very little airflow beneath these crossbars. I expect it to increase drag over factory, but what aftermarket doesn't do that. The added weight is surely worth the increased utility and ease, as well as the greater number of crossmembers to spread weight over.

@RagoFabrication I have to wonder if the front crossmember had an angled leading support as an air deflector if it might quiet it down and reduce the drag.

And for those who are thinking they only want a couple crossbars, why not split a set of 5 with another member? The GB is still a good deal and supporting a small business which helps sponsor this forum!

Believe it or not, there is very little noise without any items on the rack. We were trying to determine the noise location that were we're hearing. We definitely open to the idea if needed.
