@Jetboy That's good to know. It relieves concerns over removing an important safety feature. Thanks for doing that.

I would have replaced mine either way. I actually did it I think on the second weekend I owned it. So for me it was easy to do because my original bumper is just sitting up in my garage upstairs storage area. I was mostly just curious cuz I hadn't looked at it in a while to see what those are actually like. I think in the right type of a crash they probably do add a significant amount of cushion. Something like a pure head on. I'm sure Toyota didn't just put in there for fun. So there's definitely some risk you're taking. I'm just not convinced that they do a whole heck of a lot in terms of airbag safety. What I think would be interesting actually is to look at Tacoma frames which are weaker in that front area. I think that Tacoma frames probably crumple quite easily as compared to those Crush cans if they use the same ones.

Does anyone make something similar out of aluminum? With or without the bar? I don't see Aluminum on Warn's website as an option on this bumper? Im trying to keep the weight down as much as humanly possible.

Southern Style off-road does in conjunction with hefty fabworks.

Store - Hefty Fabworks

Thank-You. The powder coating on that bumper doesn't look the best. Maybe its just preproduction, but it also says in the description that it is gloss. Any other ideas?

I hope my order still ships this month. The pre order price went up to 600 and it says shipping late march. When i placed my order it said mid january. I sent trdparts an email last night waiting on a reply. On a better note my winch came it. Got a great deal on a smitybuild xrc gen2 with synthetic rope for 383 bucks thru smitybuiltdepot.

I talked with Barbara (TRDparts) last week, she said Warn had pushed the manufacturing to Late Feburary/early March already. So, while I hope you do get it this month I think it will be in fact March now.

Also I am using the same winch, can't beat the price.

Sounds like they wont be delivered until April

I got a message from TRD Dallas that it will be early (ish) APRIL before Warn ships these bumpers, she wants to know if I want my money back....

I am seriously considering it...the real advantage to me was faster delivery, well thats not an advantage now.

C'mon Warn...

Not to my knowledge. The only other quality aluminum fronts I’m aware of are the hefty fab and cbi, but they are full front bumpers.

I found a better price on this bumper on summit racing. (563) with free shipping. I spoke with them and warn has set a ship date of march 3. I received and email from trdparts4u a couple of weeks ago asking if i wanted to cancel my order. So i called today and canceled my order thru them. I saved 50 bucks and feel like the customer service is far better at summit.

I just recently purchased a SmittyBilt XRC 9500 Gen 2 winch that I was planning on installing on a Relentless Fabrication Stingray Low Profile Bumper.

Now that this bumper is available it will save me, between powder coating and shipping, about $400.

Do you guys know if the Smittybilt winch will fit this bumper?

Are the winch bolt patterns universal?

From my research they are the same. I also ordered the xrc gen2.

@24poepoe & @JimJr15
I plan on using a smittybilt wireless X20 that I pulled off my JK before trading in for the 4R Pro. The issue I foresee happening is the solenoid and it’s mounting location. I bought a solenoid relocation kit from superwinch to relocate the pack to inside the engine bay. I have an extra kit with the long cables if y’all are interested. See the post in the for sale thread (link below).

Orderd the Warn

I just ordered the Warn from Summit Racing. I have a Warn M8000 in my basement from my old Jeep, so that should bolt in nicely.

I've been wanting to get something, but pricing was just too high for the ARB Bull Bar, and seemed a little high for the SSO once you tossed power coating and shipping on, it was nearly $800.
