Garage door opener

I couldn't get the button on the mirror to work, so I was just using the visor clip-on.
I finally put Velcro on the visor clip-on, and found a spot just in front of the ignition key for the other part of the Velcro.
When the battery goes bad I will be able to just pull it off, change the battery, and stick it back on.

My wife’s ‘12 and my ‘18 are the exact same so, unless there was a change somewhere between them, the OP may have been trying to use the mirror dimmer button to control his garage door? Speaking of garage door control, I was surprised to see we could program my wife’s older homelink to our nearly new garage door opener... my previous ‘13 F-150’s wouldn’t work with it.

OP, please check this out and report back, haha.
