Anyone have any leads on where to purchase 6112's for our trucks? Placed an order with 4wheelparts.com 3 weeks ago and I'm being told that the 6112 are on backorder until Feb18!! Anyone have any leads or better information?

I was told late December to mid January when I placed my order. But I wouldn't mind them arriving in February as I could install them in March when it gets warmer out.

Thmotorsports, they said that when a back order happens, you get put in a list and when supply becomes available Bilstein ships based on when someone made it on to the back order list.

I would use this as an excuse to buy even better shocks... but that's just my way of making something simple even more complicated.

I work for the planning department...it looks like your region has very minimal usage for those 6112's. We've only sold 3 for the year. But looks like there are PO's due in the end of December.

I had thought about going full King or Icon, but in the end I am only doing a 1.14" lift in the front (6112 3/2 notches). I think the Bilstein 6112/5160 setup for $892 bucks shipped was hard to beat for improved ride quality and a mild lift.

The lift amount and the shock I choose don't really have any direct influence in my decision making... My problem is the lack of adjustability.

Even if I was running a stock height, I would opt for the best damper I could get for my application.

Unfortunately for my application, the 6112 is falling short in some areas, but it gets me 70-80% there as is. I just need to back off the sauce in certain driving conditions because the valving on the 6112 is too open for higher speed stuff, and being a digressive piston isn't helping the situation.

BUT I do agree, that combo is hard to beat from a value standpoint.

If I had the OPs predicament at the time, it would have probably forced that buy once cry once purchase because I am already planning on upgrading again after a couple years of owning the 6112.

I just ordered 6112s from 4WP in Austin TX before seeing this thread and got quoted 4-6 weeks on backorder. I haven't been this sad since Spongebob's pet snail Gary ran away from home.

I ordered in November from MRT motorsports, and still havent heard anything from them. Coming up on 5 months with little to no response from Moore. Disappointed to say the least.

i read in another thread that Bilstein is having trouble getting supplies from another vendor and that's where the issue is.

I cancelled my order for the 6112's. I purchased 5100's on Friday with the eBay 20% off deal for an insanely low price and ordered Dobinson springs today. All of it was shipped and will be here by Friday.

ummm if you can you should cancel this order with mrt. there are a bunch of threads regarding his business practice not being the best. youre already experiencing one of them. he's banned from tacomaworld. not sure if he's banned from this forum though. if i find links ill send them your way.
