I have found a solution to the high SWR issues. I had originally used 10g wire and a couple ring terminals ran from the mount to the frame. Ground was good according to multimeter but still high SWR. I purchased a grounding strap from auto zone for $5. Secured it to a bolt which is behind what I will circle (there’s 2 I used the bottom one). Have to remove taillight to get to it. SWR is now 1.1 on 1 and 1 on 40. Make sure to ground the powder coat off to make a good contact. Hopefully this helps somebody!
