Southern Style Offroad Full Length Roof Rack
I finally got time to install this today. Installation went well. I followed their online guide except for changing the assembly order of the front fairing to get screws to line up easier.
I like the look and it feels extremely sturdy.
I am glad I bought from a local business....Kevin and his staff are a class act all the way!

Sweet. For whatever reason, I like designs like that with flat slacks. Reason why I have the N-Fab roof rack, but have found myself at times needing a full size roof rack to carry longer materials around.
From one of the pics, looks like you may have a sunroof. If so, any issues on clearance and wind noise when opened. Can I assume you can remove the slat that is above the sunroof?

The rack is flat but also follows the contour of the roof. It comes standard with 8 crossbars. The rear bar is 2" I think...to clear the antenna. The rest are 3" wide and they are extruded aluminum with t-slots that accept a 5/16" carriage bolt. SSO included some carriage bolts with the kit. 8 Bars will leave the area over the sunroof empty. I ordered extra bars to cover the sunroof in case I ever need to fully load the rack, and am still awaiting delivery on the extra bars. There is some added noise, but nothing obnoxious...minimal in fact. The wind fairing has a weather/wind seal at the bottom to prevent wind from sneaking between it and the roof.

I love this rack...I just wish it didn't rest on the roof at the faring. Don't some people with Gobis have issues with paint being worn off by the same thing?
Worries me for the sake of rust.

It barely touches and the weather-strip is super soft rubber. The fairing is heavy enough I cant imagine any flexing taking place either. Time will tell of course.

If you have time, mind taking a photo with a top view?
Also, how stiff or strong are the cross bars? Do they flex when adding weight to it? An example would be securing a cooler or camping equipment. Does the cross bars flex when cinching down with ratchet straps.
Thanks.

I think it would hold up very well for what you suggest. I only installed yesterday so I have not loaded it t all yet.

Most of us use a section of clear vinyl along the roof line for added protection.

Wish I knew this ahead of time.
Mine's installed. Looks great. Does have some wind noise around 65mph and up. Easy install. No cutting or drilling of any sort. I have not done any weight testing in terms of how much it can support. All my friend and I did was get on the roof rack and goof around up there lol.

only thing that held me back from ordering one, was the front light bar mounting options. Probably doable. But not easy

There is an option. There is also a package. When i called to order they asked me if I wanted a light bar option or no.
