Toytec "Boss Performance"

Evening All....

I have my FN FX-Pro wheels (Matte Black) being delivered tomorrow and I have been trying to figure out my path forward.

have a '14 LE Magnetic Grey, stock tires are getting sketchy and i want to get this taken care of and get things a little more elevated!

I had been planning on ordering the King complete kit from Toytec, but continued searching talked of constant (20-30k mile) maintenance and that it might be overkill for the weekend warrior with mild trails and fire roads.

so i started looking at the Toytec Ultimate and Boss kits... and then the "boss Performance kit showed up. I did a bit of searching on here and i just cant come up with anyone using this specific kit.

Anyone have any experience?

I was at RSG and that Boss Performance kit is what they were recommending to me (KDSS, light trails, getting out of town sort of thing). The shock/dampener is made by Radflo, if that helps in your decision.

edit: these are also rebuildable. RSG said they have a guy that can get it done over a weekend for you. Drop the truck off Friday and pick it up Monday afternoon.

I have read through the lift buyers guide, it seems like more of a list of options and less of a guide.... just my $.02.

My main question was on the specific Boss Performance lift. The more i look at it, that lift and then add in the UCAs and I'm within $600 form the King kit price.

just trying to figure out if the King is worth it...... I keep reading that kings are the best, but i hadn't seen anything on this specific lift.

Is that a weekend to install? I was assuming i could this done in a day or so, seems pretty straight forward.

Not sure what your question is. Installing the lift would take a few hours. The weekend is for rebuilding the shocks, reinstalling them, and then alignment - mostly because the guy does it over the weekend.

Again, just passing on the information that I got today.

I'm on the fence about what I want to do. Was leaning towards Fox but RSG said that the Fox is a lot stiffer and that these Toytec would be a bit less $$ and ride better for what I want out of them.

I'm not doing anything until Spring bc it will probably take that long for me to install my new bumper/winch/light set up and I want that on before I do the suspension.

He’s just saying that they are rebuildable (serviceable), and that service process if you ended up needing it would just take a weekend from the shop he mentioned.

Installing the lift should only take a day or two if you do it yourself, and you’ll definitely want an extra set of eyes and hands there helping out.

it's worth that extra money. I have friends who own both icon and kings suspension and love them. Never had the Toytec, so i have nothing to compare to

I got what your saying now, I read that wrong.

Thanks for the input!

Bit the bullet the King setup is on the way and should be here mid next week. if so, i should have some help around here and we will get it knocked out. I will get it aligned and get the new rubber installed. I'll post up some pics of the install and before and afters as well.
