Squeaky foot parking brake and odd rattle

Noticed a couple of days ago that whenever I press/depress the foot parking brake, there is a squeaking sound. It sounds like it's coming from the rear left brake. Not sure what's causing this. Is this something that is covered under warranty? I took my 4R to the dealership this morning, but the service guy told me that the technicians would have to diagnose the issue first before attempting to repair/fix. If not under warranty, then I'm on the hook for $140 ... which is the cost for the diagnosis itself!

Also, I'm hearing a slight rattle that appears to be coming from the rear, as well. I can't pinpoint where, though. My 4R is my DD, and I hear it constantly now, more so when driving over road speed bumps. The front wheels/tires appear ok, but when driving over the speed bump with the rear wheels/tires, I hear it.

Anyone experiencing these issues?

I would go back. How can the dealership say its not under warranty without looking at it? No way in hell would I pay for a diagnosis while still under warranty. They should look at it, then give you an idea of required repair. If its a wearable item like brakes its on you. If not, then its a larger ticket item and they eat it. How many miles do you have on it?

Yeah, my thoughts exactly. Maybe I'll go to another dealership and see what they say. Thanks. My 4R has 10,300 miles.
