As usual we will never get a deal from toyota financial on the 4runner.
Switched to penfed a week after we left the lot (wasnt planning to buy that night) for 1.9% . Been a penfed customer for more than 10 years and always been happy.

It’s a spam bot. If you inspect the “source” linked it’s some scam site. Report it and hopefully it’ll get deleted.

LOL!! USAA hasn't been competitive with auto loan rates in 20 years, and now their insurance is overpriced.
I was with USAA since 1991, before it was opened up to all ranks, and it was competitive with CC and ins. Couldn't be beat for ins. But a few years ago, they started advertising on TV, which wastes millions of dollars, and they kept increasing their ins rates, even though I've only had 1 at fault accident in my time with USAA (back in the mid '90's), and haven't had a moving violation in over a decade.
On a whim, I called Geico, and for the first time, not only was someone else competitive with USAA, they beat them by $150, and I have a better set of options with Geico, including mechanical breakdown, and it covers rodent damage to wiring harnesses, which the factory warranty doesn't.
It sucks that I no longer get the SSA deposits, but at $150 every six months, it beats the annual SSA payout.

For those giving their rates, you should include the term as well. Saying I got 0% doesn't give you the whole picture if it's only for 3 years. People tend to go with either 60 or 72 months now.

If so, you are buying the wrong vehicle.

That's your personal opinion. I'd argue that anyone who is concerned about getting more MPGs out of a 4Runner, would apply to your statement, but as for 60 or 72M terms, it doesn't mean you are buying the "wrong vehicle".

In this case, wrong vehicle = one you really can't afford.

Whatever, not everyone can be as rich as you CavPro. We all don't have money just splurging out of our pockets so we can pay cash up front.

with a vehicle that has such low depreciation, and rates <2%, i'm not sure why anyone wouldn't finance for as long as possible unless they just aren't managing their money otherwise

Because
@ jhguth
, they have chosen the WRONG VEHICLE and can't afford it. (according to
@ CavPro
). There is no possible reason to finance it that long.
Nope, not if your company pays for it.
Not if you got a really good interest rate.
Not if you need a business tax right off.
Not if you make more money elsewhere and get a better ROI with your cash now vs financing.
Nope you have the WRONG vehicle, right
@ CavPro
?

Hell, if you can't pay $40K+ in cash, and you make less than $1m a year, you have the WRONG vehicle.
Take your self righteous attitude for a long walk.
