Ganj - the ballasts in these kits are quite reliable, whats going on with yours? Is it not lighting up consistently, or not at all? Have you installed the relay harness thats supplied with the kit? Please let us know so that we can assist with a replacement, or a discount on an XTR LED system if thats what you prefer - we'll do whatever need be to ensure youre taken care of!

"God said, let there be light!

I have become God, destroyer of darkness...... LOL
I installed my Xtreme Pros last night in my high beam (along with the 4300k Philips HIDs for low) and my word these things are bright. I installed them with the DRL driver, though I have not seen my DRL come on yet - probably because it was night and the low beams come on by default. I assume the DRLs turn off when the lows are on - I'll find out today. Install was easy and I didn't have to adjust by beam at all.
They're definitely a cooler bulb than my HIDs at 5500k and they're just at the limit of what I consider acceptable temp wise. I don't know how people do 6500+K?
I'm looking forward to using these in on deserted mountain highways...

Awesome! I'm glad you're enjoying them. Your DRLs do turn off when your low beams are on.

Xtreme LED Pro Kit Review - 5th Gen Toyota 4Runner
@ XenonDepot
I was also seeking tips for getting the Philips bulbs in on this thread
XenonDepot DRL PWM LED Driver Available for Pre-Order
XenonDepot DRL PWM LED Driver Available for Pre-Order - Toyota 4Runner Forum - Largest 4Runner Forum
The Philips bulb is different from the XD HID bulb in the instructions so I’m not sure what I need to do to get a really secure fit. It’s not that they’re loose but it only takes light pressure and a few degrees of turn to unlock them. I feel they should lock in tighter but I can’t get them to turn any more.
EDIT: I solved the issue and described it at the link.

@ XenonDepot
- I ordered a set of H11 Xtreme LED Pro Headlight Kit last year. I got in an accident and one of the bulbs didn’t survive. Is there a way to purchase just one bulb instead of a set of 2?

Question to Xenon.. vendor:
I'm curious, how long does it take for the HID bulbs to reach full brightness during a "cold start"? I purchased a set from another vendor 2 years ago. It takes about 20 seconds to reach full brightness. The color temperature is nice but the light intensity is about the same as with OEM halogens, if not worse.
Also, are your ballasts certified by FCC for radio interference? I have several ham radios in my 4Runner and this is very important for me. A properly designed ballast must have all the needed filters installed to prevent RFI.

Confusion about the H11 Xtreme LED Pro
I’m a bit confused with the H11 extreme LED pro kit. I purchased it along with the 9005 Xtreme LED PRO Kit with the DRL led driver, they’re coming this week.
Why do I see so many people drilling holes into the dust cap for the LED pro, I thought only the HID kit required it? Do I even need the PWM module for my low beams using LED’s?

That shouldn't be a problem. PM me and we'll get it sorted for you!

On average, its about 15-20 seconds. Do you drive a lot? Was it our HID bulbs as well?
We don't have much radio interference to be honest. I have heard it can be troublesome with other brands, but don't really get any complaints with ours.

You can stuff the LED driver in your housings. Some customers have no problem drilling through the dust cap (they're probably used to it or already have a hole there) and leave the drivers externally. You do not need a PWM module for your low beams.
Thanks!

Anybody installed these on an earlier year model of 5th gen? I put them in my 2011 trail edition and love the results from driver's POV, but I'm wary of blinding other drivers. The beam has a decently crisp horizontal upper line where the brightest light stops, but enough light bleeds above that line to light up the inside of a car close in front of me. Curious if this has more to do with the headlight assembly itself or the bulbs? Also, my headlight assembly in general was pretty different from the pics I've seen here. I didnt have dust caps at all
I havent messed with the set screw to tune the bulb angle - could that help? currently the stalk of the bulb sits so that the leds are facing pretty much directly left/right as best I can tell.
Comparison pics below showing how much light bleeds above the horizontal upper beam. The photos definitely exaggerate the issue a bit, but it's still obvious in person.

I'll leave my review so far.
I think the product and company are great but disappointed in the LEDs in the 4runner. I don't think this is so much an issue with XD as much as LED in projector issue
I've tired a few position on the low beams and the pattern that it gives off is very splotchy with random hot spots. Its very annoying when driving - also will repeat what an earlier reviews said that it feels like my lighting distance is lower than with stock.
I have to make the decision now to go back to stock or pony up more money on HIDs.

Can anyone explain the clockable base? Seems like most people who installed these are just making sure the LEDs are in the 3 and 9 position. Is there a need to adjust the base?

Danny is right. Just installed these in a 2019 Pro. No issues at all with the diodes facing out the projector and into the parabolic mirror at the back of the housing. (9 & 3 o'clock) Very bright and white, Very pleased with the setup & the light output!
HOWEVER, it was a bit more difficult to get the unit seated all the way into the housing. This is not a criticism, just a what "is" of the new system...make SURE yours is locked in completely and turned until it fully stops.
FWIW, my adjustment was at 0 degrees, just as it came out of the box.

Maybe... The inside of the 4runner housing is quite different than what some folks may be used to. That is because the "bulb" (stock, LED, HID) enters the housing at 90 degrees to the light "path" out of the housing. not through the back.
If you were to miniturize yourself and walk into the housing through the lamp portal, you would see a mirrored ceiling and floor with a large parabolic mirror on your left side (9 o'clock). Looking right, you would look down a "tunnel" of sorts, with the projector bubble at the end (3 o'clock).
It is critical that the 3 LED's on one side face down this tunnel and out the bubble; the other three must be facing the parabolic mirror. Any other alignment, and you will NOT be using the mirrors correctly and the light output will be disappointing at best.
On my set, the adjustable ring was set to 0 degrees out of the box. IIRC, that is what I used on mine. I did play with it however, to be sure that the LED's were at 9&3 when the unit was twisted and locked in place...NOT when you first insert it in the portal.
Good Luck !

Any pictures of proper positioning for clocking the low beam Led’s? I pulled up to a wall last night and noticed my drivers side headlight patters was much more dim and scattered then the passenger side.
