I have posted this question to about the filled in parts below the safety sense. I have the led bar and led pods in my cart to buy thru Cali. Laying on the floor with a flash light and checking things out behind there I think if you really take your time I think you could take a router to router out the solid black pieces and not effect the grille itself. Iím not sure if I want to attempted or I will
Leave it there. I know Iím adding the led bar I had one on my 15 Tacoma and I loved it. Why Toyota put that piece there because looking behind the grille it does nothing for the safety sense. That is pretty much mounted on its own.

Hey Steve, I donít have a pic. I had the combo on my 15 Tacoma years ago. Jake from Cali says the combo is better. I thought so to loved it in my Tacoma. Hope this helps.

I dont have any photos, but the combo beam is what 95% of people go with. A combo beam pattern is a combination of a spot beam and flood. The outsides of the white LEDs have flood reflectors, and the center of the bar is spot LEDs, which makes for a nice overall throw of the light. A spot beam does not have the flood reflectors, so it is best for very concentrated, long distance light projection.
