@OP This is a good idea, and if I camped I wouldn't think twice about spending $50 (shipped) for it.
Bonus: An attaboy from The Ultimate Camper
@ Titanpat57
Let's see here:
$50
-$12 materials, easily.
-$8 packaging and shipping, easily.
=$30 for getting all the stuff, putting it all together properly, and hauling it to the PO. Hm, I'd say he's getting rich at the rate of $15/hr. I don't begrudge that.

Oh, I found them ALL. Those silly threads do not give you rights to criticize OP's thread, which is what I called you out for.
I've seen your critical posts before ... here's a snip from one:

Does turning the key different ways not operate the rear window from the liftgate? Assuming there's a keyhole in the liftgate tho lol (my 3rd gen worked that way).

No fool, I called you out for criticizing this thread, and whining that OP "spent" $5 and charged $50.... and of course you got bunched panties as you always do when challenged.

Indeed it does still work that way.
This mod is geared more toward someone that's sleeping in the back of the 4r.
it's a major PITA not being able to open the hatch when you're inside.
Although sandcrawler's point about dogs operating the switch is something that would be very real for me. The red button reminds me of the trap door in Mr. Burn's office.
I don't see any harm in someone buying a couple more components and selling the assembly for a very reasonable price on here.... I think it's a great mod! Nice job

no harm in selling kits, it’s the refusing to post your write up because you wanna make a buck even though he has probably benefitted from everyone else’s writeups. that’s what fuels these forums without it, what’s left is a bit of diagnostic help and argueing like seen above. i like arguing online so that’s what i come for

Well.... I've had many MANY people that have wanted me to sell kits and I either do it for them for free or send them parts or help them on the phone...
Good karma- it ALWAYS comes around. Lots of people on here have helped me out in all sorts of ways.
I don't begrudge the op for charging for it though- to each his own.

I'm in the same boat. I don't have time to track all this stuff down and piece it together. But if I buy this kit I will prob mod it to mount to the upper part of my rago fab molle panels instead of drilling holes in the plastic. Maybe put the switches in a small plastic box and mount the box to the panel?

LOL - I don't know. My Lab is pretty smart. I need to set the child lock on the windows when driving or he rolls them down... I sat shotgun to watch him, it is intentional.
