Has anyone installed the Morimoto Retro-Quick projector kit from The Retrofit Source?

I really want to upgrade my headlights and I've been reading all the options HIDs vs LEDs etc but wanted to know if anyone has experience with this kit from The Retrofit Source, as it is relatively new on the market.

It's a bit pricey but I've bought Morimoto HIDs before and been very impressed. I'd love to know how easy these are to install and the quality of them.

Additionally, I am looking to upgrade my fogs so if you have any recommendations on 3k yellow fogs please let me know.

Cheers!

To date, LED projectors still do not have the performance of HID projectors. The obvious benefits of LED are the instant on and the lack of ballasts and bulbs.
If true lighting performance is your main priority, I would stick with HID.
LED is very cool though, but not yet accepted as much in the lighting world as is HID.

I'd be curious to understand if anyone has retroed bolt in projectors into our housings before. Our stock headlight housing is a bit funky and will only really allow side mounted projectors in there without heavy mods.

Not a big surprise but I feel the output of my HID bulbs in the stock projectors has output that is worse than my pre facelift (2012) halogen reflector headlights.

It has been done. Many threads about it on here. One is linked below.

HID retrofit

* I can tell you that @LightWerkz told me they'd fit, and offered them as an option for my recent retrofit.

It's a bit pricey but I've bought Morimoto HIDs before and been very impressed. I'd love to know how easy these are to install and the quality of them.

* Can't objectively speak to either. I'd assume the component quality to be good.

Cheers!
Here's a comparo pic of MLED vs IS350 HID provided by @LightWerkz . The LEDs have an extreme hotspot, and far less light spread than the IS350s, neither of which appealed to me.

Has anyone installed the Morimoto Retro-Quick projector kit from The Retrofit Source?-bixenon-vs-mled-mled-intensity-2-jpg

This pic makes the HIDs appear blueish. In fact they are 42-4500K, whereas the LEDs are a VERY bright white, thus the odd contrast. I don't KNOW, but I'd expect these LEDs are going to get you flashed.

IMO, however unlikely, any failure of the LED will require a total re-retrofit as everything much is self-contained within the projector. Potentially very expensive! The HID components, which will likely fail 'sooner' than LED, are at least serviceable. $.02.
