No Falken Wildpeaks in 275/70-17? Or go with 285?

I was planning on ordering some Wildpeaks but my choices only seem to be either 265 or 285. It seems like mostlky every runs a 275 in the KO2 so that's what's I was looking to get but they are pricey.

I was going to use a Daystar comfort ride front/rear leveling kit and if necessary do a fender liner mod. I'm not 100% I'll be safe with no rubbing with a 285. Anyone run the 285 Wildpeaks with just a leveling kit?

depends on what wheels you have/offset. The AT3w 285 only measures at 32.7 so you should be ok on stock wheels with just doing the fender liner mod and trimming a little of the mudflap or removing it. Also depends on your lift/alignment. Basically just give us a little more info to help you out.

I run 285/70/17. Had to push the fender liner forward and remove the front mud flaps, but otherwise no issues. Though during some serious flex I think I am rubbing and will need to do the BMC.

braddah...i'm in the same exact situation on the Wildpeaks. I just bought the Daystar kit during the ebay sale and still deciding which tire size to get.

I have the Falken LT 285/70R17 A/T3W. I had to remove the front mud flaps and they rub a bit in reverse at full turn but otherwise they're fine. I am not going to do a body mount chop to fix a little rubbing at full turn only in reverse.

For 275/70R17 tires try looking at the Cooper tires. Some of the AT tires are rated as good or better than the Falken.

Is that the slight rub with your 2" long travel lift?

So my plans are either the SCS Ray10 or Method NV in 17". They SCS has a -10mm offset and I think the Methods are 0mm. For the lift I'm going to use the Daystar 2.5/1.5 kit.

I'm running Cooper Maxx ST on my work truck.
They are a little noisy, but do very well in mud and snow.

I just had the 285 Falken Wildpeaks installed yesterday. I have about a 1.5" lift and rubbed on the front mudflap and a slight rub in reverse on the front bumper. I removed the mud flaps and that eliminated the rub when turning. Will have to modify the bumper area over the weekend to avoid complaints from the wife .

If you're interested in buying tires, Discount Tires Direct on eBay is offering $100 off if you spend $400+ on tires. I picked up my 285's for $632 from them.

I heard somewhere that the Wildpeak 275's were supposedly coming out Q2 of 2018. Can anybody else comment on that?

I'm running a 2" leveling kit on the front and have the Wildpeaks in 285/70/17 with the Methos NV's you're thinking about. I had to do the front liner mod and also slice a bit of the bumper to bring it flush with the liner after moving it. I have a slight rub in rull lock reverse only in one direction. But I haven't taken the front mudflaps off. Hopefully this will solve the problem.

I have the 285 Wildpeaks with a 3" Icon lift. Still had to do the fender liner mod and BMC.

Not trying to derail, what about the new General grabber ATX coming out? They come in 275/70/17 No idea how good they are though.

Just my 2 cents, go with a front 5100 lift. You can go from 0.75-2.5" lift and a set isn't horribly expensive.

The AT3W 285/70R17 rubbed pretty good on my stock Trail Premium KDSS. I only had to modify my front fender (described in my build thread) after alignment.
