CBI Rear Bumper w/Dual Swing-outs Install
We just received our new rear bumper from CBI and it looks wonderful! Ours is a dual swing-out with dual can holder, highlift mount, and fold down table (lots of bags of bolts, nuts, brackets, and assorted hardware). The fit, finish, and attention to detail is incredible. One detail they left out however are instructions on how it all goes together. Most of it is pretty simple to figure out but some, like the bearings and seal on the swing-out hinge, we're scratching our heads over.
After over an hour of searching and pouring through past threads we're still at a loss.
We found the pdf on their website showing how to bolt on the actual bumper but nothing more. We have an email into Nathan at CBI, I'm sure he'll get back to us with some answers. In the meantime we're looking for real-life experiences on the install and pics. Particularly of the cutline at the fenders, latch mount, attaching the highlift, etc. Also, options and suggestions on relocating the camera and license plate & light.
We'll be showcasing the setup in one of our upcoming install videos, hence the need for detailed and accurate information. Any help and/or photos you can share would be greatly appreciated.

Did you have to grind down the frame rails to get the bumper to fit? Subscribed to this thread as well as my bumper will be here in a couple of weeks.

Not sure if these will help, install is fairly straightforward for bumper, getting good cuts in bumper skin is key.

As an FYI for anyone who is installing this bumper. Here is the PDF for configuring a single swing out. Should be similar to the dual swing outs. This is NOT on their website. I had to call them to get it.

@ WanderlostOverland
was it really necessary to cut out the spare tire retention brackets and grind down the frame rails? I talked to CBI about that and they told me it shouldn't be. I want to make sure I have and angle grinder handy before I do this if that's the case.

The spare retention brackets stick up higher then the stock rear bumper cross member. We believe they will be in the way. Every 4Runner is different and so are their welds back there. We did have some welds that stuck down too much, not allowing the new bumper brackets to sit nice and tight to the frame. Have a grinder handy.

Not near as much as we thought we'd have to. There were just a couple minor spots that only took maybe a minute with the grinder. The brackets to the frame fit extremely well, we're impressed.

Now that you’ve had the bumper on for awhile, how is the powder coat holding up in the rear wheel well?
Since the bumper deletes the rear mudflaps I imagine that part of the bumper takes a beating from rocks.
