How many using this Eibach kit are installing new UCA's? I've probably read over 400 posts on the topic with 50% saying keep OEM's and 50% saying you have to have for proper alignment.

I wouldn't install this kit without aftermarket UCA's. But others feel differently. You make the choice.
Curious, did anyone else notice this when installing their front Eibach shocks? I checked my shock part number and it is the correct one.
I just got off the phone with Eibach, I am awaiting a call-back. I spoke with an employee (non-tech) that has a 4Runner, and he seemed to think this was not normal, but we are holding off on judgement until I speak with the tech that actually designed this and wrote the install instructions. We shall see. Honestly, I did not notice if this happened on the passenger side, or not.. so I'll have to go check that one again if this is indeed abnormal. Ughhhh, I have literally already removed, installed, removed, installed, removed, installed, removed and installed the passenger side suspension.. yes.. that many times. Looks like here we go again!!
EDIT: Eibach returned my call and said that "2mm of additional clearance/wiggle room is normal in that location, and the play is normal. Once the lower eye bolt is tightened, everything will be snug and good to go." I suppose that's that! A little unnerving that I am getting different answers from different people, but what can I do, other than trust Eibach? The lower mount did seem to tighten up against the bushings as I tightened it but that just seemed weird to me. At this point, it's all installed and I hope it's right.

100% not normal. Where is the wiggle happening? Is it the shaft wiggling in the top hat? If so, you probably didn't get the top nut tightened down enough. You needed to crank that spring compressor down a little tighter and get a few more turns on it. Maybe take a few more pics of the top mounting area?

It certainly won't hurt to add some nice UCAs. Dialing in more caster can help with bigger tire fitment and overall handling. With that said, Eibach designed the kit to work with stock arms. I'm running stock arms and 285s with perfect alignment and no issues. It is not needed.

can the speedo be calibrated if i go to bigger tires? thinking of doing this eibach kit with 285s. but i would like accurate speed
I thought I read somewhere on this forum, that the 285s bring the speedo inline with a gps and that 4Runner speedo is incorrect with the stock tire size.

I concur that in fact is the case. My Speedo now matches my gps for my 285 tires.

According to Eibach, it is normal. So I'm at a bit of a loss. I'm gonna go with it, and hope for the best. It doesn't seem that many here actually install their own parts so not a lot of feedback from the community. Eh.
For the record, this recording was done with the top mount unbolted and dropped. Only the lower shock mount bolt was inserted, not tightened, which is when I noticed the play and took the video. The top was completely free and able to move as you'd expect.

Your video is short so it's hard to really see what's going on, but if the bottom bolt is in and the top hat is seated in the upper mounts, it doesn't seem like it should be able to do that. The first time I assembled mine, they acted like that and I realized the shaft/bushing was moving in the top hat. I put the compressor back on it and was able to tighten the top nut down some more and it was rock solid after that. As far as your original issue with the bushings, I'm not sure why it would be a big deal. I used KYB tops and the KYB bushing was the same thickness as the Eibach bushing. It was larger diameter and fit the top better than the Eibach bushing. I know the eibach is poly, and probably higher quality than the KYB, but I can't see it making a real difference. Fitment was exactly the same for both. I think you would have been fine running it how wheelers sent it to you.

Yes, in the video, the top hat is not seated. The lower shock mount is installed in the "box," with the bolt inserted, but not tightened. The lower UCA is still dropped down per install steps, so the top mount is below its mounting location and able to move freely.
I agree it may have been "fine" with what Wheeler's did, but I am one to follow the manufacturers recommendations and requirements in order to maximize my enjoyment and reliability of the product. IMO, Wheeler's should also be on that train. Alas...
Now I am worried that Wheeler's Off-Road sent me the wrong shocks. Since I ordered these assembled from Wheeler's, they sent them in a generic brown box. Eibach only puts the entire shock's part number on their box, which Wheeler's did not send me.
EDIT: I annoyed Eibach again. I can tell they are tired of hearing from at this point; I can't blame them.
David informed me that the number on the shock body is also unique, even though it's not the part number you find online, etc. when purchasing.
My shock body's part number matches up with the shock part number for the 2010+ 4Runner/FJ so I believe I am good to go! Some here on this forum seem to think that the play is not ok.. but if I can't trust Eibach, what can I do? So I am choosing to trust Eibach and assume that everyone that is running these shocks has the play, and just didn't notice it when installing, or knew it was OK.
Alright, after spending all my dang time on this, here's the deal.
Eibach still uses pre-2010 Toyota bushings on their 2010+ products, even though Toyota changed the bushing size in 2010. That's why the play is there. It's the wrong bushing. Eibach claims that this doesn't matter and is OK. Obviously Toyota disagrees.
I'm pretty disappointed in Eibach, to say the least. Perhaps it doesn't matter practically, but I'm pretty sure that both their top mount lower bushing as well as this lower eyelet bushing are incorrect, and for whatever reason, they don't feel the need to change it. I guess it doesn't really matter in the end if everyone is happy with their suspension. I really, really hope that this does not cause issue with my 4Runner down the road. I am trying to decide how to proceed at this point.
With 150 pages of this thread, I cannot believe I am the first to notice this.
Honestly, I used the lower bushings that came with the KYB tops. It fit snug so I ignored Eibach lol. I suppose that could be the reason I didn't have the rattle. I think I used the Eibach upper bushing but it was the same size as the KYB one.

Thank you for the kudos on the customer service. We all try to be as helpful as possible on the phones! That being said, depending on your questions someone who thought they're being helpful may inadvertently give some variance in response. The first person you spoke with is not a technician, nor is he on the engineering team. I am not a technician nor am I on the engineering team, but I DID stay at a Holiday Inn Express once.
After speaking with the engineering team and reviewing previous development installations with consideration of production tolerances, the mounting bolt can be safely torqued to the manufacturer's specified 118ft-lbs without play in the bushing, which we have found warrants the use of this OEM Toyota bushing over the past 8 years.
