I had a 2010 Limited 4 x 2 in Blizzard Pearl. We put 160,000 miles on that thing and sold it for $20,000 a couple of years ago. I have missed that truck and have been wanting another since we sold it.

I allocated a 2018 Limited 4x4 in Nautical Blue w/Redwood. It was delivered last week and I picked it up on Saturday.

A few thoughts:

The colors (interior and exterior) are stunning!

The 4 x 4 is beefier than the 4 x 2. Rides great, much better than our Highlander.

They haven't done much to the truck in terms of updates. I do appreciate the memory button for the seat positions and the window antenna! These were common complaints back then. Also it seems the rear doors are solid now, I remember them sounding quite hollow when they were shut.

I will definitely miss the orange/white speedo dials. I'm not a fan of the current blue/white combo.

I've ordered all the simple upgrades: the better JBL speakers, Salex organizers and a Beavertail. I've got an installer lined up for the speakers and to do some Dynamat in the doors. I'm waiting on my detailer to come and finish the exterior with CQuartz Finest Reserve before I unleash her on the streets.

Welcome to multiple 5th Gens club. I'm at 72k on my 2d 5th Gen and I'm thinking hard about a third but likely won't.

I picked up my 2017 SR5 back in August to replace an aging Yukon XL. My wife fell in love with my 4Runner and four months later we traded her 2012 Wrangler Unlimited for a 2014 SR5 Premium. It's fun seeing two in the garage at the same time.

My son turns 16 this summer and he's already looking at 3rd Gens. May be a three-4Runner family soon!

Funny you mention the hollow doors...my wife's 2014's doors sound hollow but my 2017 sounds rock solid. Was there actually a change?

There must have been. I ordered the 2018 without even a test drive. I remembered the hollow rear doors in my 2010. I had called the local audio whiz for a Dynamat quote before I got the car. It's a pretty cheap thing to do 4 doors, about $350. Since he's doing that he can swap out the speakers and hardwire the dash cam at the same time.

Can you post pics of the interior? What exactly is the redwood?

Sure. The seats are brown instead of black.
