Roof Rack - Prinsu VS SSO

Hi Guys,
I will preface this by saying, I am fairly new to this fun sport and trying to learn a few things from the experts here!
I searched through multiple threads but none of them seems to have a good comparison between the 2 roof racks.

The main differences I see are
1) Drilling needed for Prinsu VS no drilling for SSO
2) Cross bars are 1*2 for Prinsu VS 1*3 for the SSO
3) SSO claims around 1.75" taller than the roof line/ Not sure of the Prinsu but they both look pretty similar.
4) $861 for Prinsu VS $1140 SSO (all anodized black cross-rails/Bolts)

The accessories for both seem to be similar. SSO just mentioned they are working on a front LED light bar similar to Prinsu.

Any other thoughts? or differences?

Also to the welders folks on the community, what is the SSO rack losing in terms of stability/other things with not needing the front drilling? Or in other words what does Prinsu gain in terms of having those plusnuts?

SSO crossbars are fixed. Most of the Prinsu crossbars can be adjusted.
Also, you can add rubber feet to the Prinsu. That is what I am going to do.

Just installed my full length prinsu from Scott Fischer at this site. He gave me an excellent deal as well.

Good to know about the adjustable crossbars.
Also, i suppose the rubber feet will help if you are looking at load from top but I was worried about force from down under the roof rack and trying to rip it off. Maybe I am over thinking this.

Anyone else have any thoughts?

On the other hand, I am steadily watching Prinsu prices go up by $50-75 every few weeks!

Get the prinsu, drilling is a breeze & shouldn't be a deal breaker. Get some step bits and a harbor freights corded drill, I installed the whole rack (by myself) in less than an hour, 30 minutes was triple checking measurements and debating on if I should drill the hole or not lol.

I opted for the Prinsu 7/8th because I didnt want to drill. It looks great. Took some adjustment to cut down on the wind noise with sunroof open.

Im running a ARB2500 on the 7/8ths rack and the front overhang is exactly 27 inches. We used 4 mounts from Prinsu.

I love the versatility of the Prinsu. Its pretty cool that you can place the bars anywhere on the rack rails.
