Rhino Rack w/ RLT600 & Pioneer Flat platform

Finally pulled the trigger and purchased the Rhino Rack with RLT600 track system.
I could not find pics on this forum of the rack installed so I figured I share some.

With the ski rack attached.

Looks super clean.

Did you have to drill into the vehicle at all? Was there much of a cost difference between this and the backbone system?

Did the track too but traded the quick release legs for the lower profile ones. I was getting some movement and noise inside with the QR style and the RTT/awning, 200#
Really like the Pioneer too, nice and versatile.

Yes i did have to drill. As far as the price, I got mine off Expertcity. So it actually came out to be less than the backbone system. I actually prefer the track system because removing the rack is easier and a lot faster. Plus I think cleaning the roof with the backbone would be pretty difficult. But that's a good question for someone with the backbone.

Very nice, could you share a little more about the installation process? Sounds like those legs are removable? How simple is that process?

During normal road driving. I put some rubber strops in and while they helped the problem was completely solved with the fixed ones and also dropped things down about an inch.

Yes the legs are easily removable.
First you need to take the cap off.

Then you squeeze the red levers on all the legs. Very easy.

Could you share a little more about the installation process?
The hardest part is installation of the Rhino Rack RTS Speciality Ditch Mount Tracks. That is because you have to drill into the roof. Here is a good video of the track system. I got mine installed for $150. I could not bare to drill into my car. Here is a pretty good video of what that track system looks like.
Hope this helps. Feel free to ask if you have any other questions. Hope this helps.

Do you happen to know what model the lower profile platform mounts are?

I really hate to pull up an old post but couldn’t find this info anywhere else.

@007nco , can you provide a little more info on the model RLTP legs you used and the wedge setup (between track and leg) to level out the mounting interface to the pioneer?

Hey! Curious if you figured out the spacer set up in the RLTP legs? I am trying to figure out what to order.

Unfortunately, no. I ended up going with the RLT600 legs.
