Talking Woo-hoo

Just finished putting mine in.

This is so easy why can't toyota do this at the factory???

All you have to do is remove the white clip at the top of the light cover, and remove the screw at the left of the light (driver side, reverse for passenger)

That chrome piece will push out, be careful and don't go to far. You should be able to get it out enough to remove the two screws holding in the old fog light and pull out the old light and swap in the new one.

Then careful pushing it back into place and make sure all the tabs go in and seat. Put the white tab back in and screw, attach the plug and VOILA, LED fog lights from the factory that look great.

Looks like the aim was on too right out of the box.

Wish I had done this first thing rather than try and find an upgrade for an H16 bulb.

I just installed these. What a pain!! I had to go through the wheel well, loosen the fender liners, remove plastic pins, a screw and unhook the fog lights, then open the hood, remove the radiator cover, reach inside to remove the other pins that hold the fog light housing in place. Once the housing was out it took 3 minutes to install the LED fogs. The beam matched perfectly with the halogen beams so I didn't have to re-aim them. I'll see how they look at night with my Morimoto 2Stroke 2.0 low beams. The whole project took 3 hours. What an awful design. I tried to take photos of the whole process but it was such a tight area that I wasn't able to. The only one I took was of the front bumper after the fog light housing was removed.

This works for how I currently use my vehicle.
What headlight bulbs are you running? In the night pictures you posted, it looks like you're running something besides stock halogens.

I prefer using factory parts as often as possible since I'm not doing any heavy duty offroading. I like the look of factory and the fact there is typically minimal (if any) modification needed.

I purchased the parts from an online Toyota parts dealer. I shopped around a bit to find good pricing and the cheapest shipping.

Part numbers:
Left assembly 81220-48051
Right assembly 81210-48051

Installation was extremely easy and the results are exactly what I wanted. Now I'll have to upgrade my headlights so the lighting is better and the color temperatures are similar.

Pictures to follow.
Do they come as a pair or do you have to order them separately?

The ones OP quoted come individually as left or right and those are made in Japan. Looks like Toyota released some that come in a paand are made in China, search for PT41342191, these are the ones with black bezel and there is a different P/N (PT413-42190) for the chrome bezel ones. According to Toyota's part page, these fit 2019 4R's, not sure if the mounting is different in the 2019 as compared to previous 5th Gen's.

BTW, the China made pairs are ~ half the cost of the 2 individual ones together.

If I order the individual left and right that OP has provided the part numbers for, do I need anything else (screws, covers, etc.)?

You don't need anything else since you will be reusing the existing screws.

BTW, according to #8 post of this thread, the member installed the less expensive pair (ones available for 2019 models) on his 2018 https://www.4runners.com/threads/oem...-upgrade.7791/

These are not the new rigid LED fogs on the 2019 TRD Pro. Those aren't available for purchase from dealers yet unless you have a 2019 TRD Pro VIN.
