2. His ladder was positioned differently side to side on his hatch or different thickness of foam under the ladder mount which made the ladder stick out slightly more?
3. difference in the thickness or position of the white plastic blocks on the latch that align it when you close the swing arm?

Thanks for posting the photo! There are a couple of the first few prototype bumpers out there, but none of the "production" ones got sent out with the slightly older differences. All the production bumpers out there should be the same. Maybe its just a matter of where he had his Baja Ladder positioned.

Thanks for posting up the link!
So where exactly did you use that connector?

Thats the connector that plugs directly into the factory camera. So crimp the pins, insert into the connector then plug that into the camera.
Sorry I didnt take pics of my install but in the hatch at the factory location is a short 6 inch wire harness to the camera, that you can cut and splice your wires you ran from the bumper. That way the splics is just inside the hatch and not a splice outside on the bumper.
Here is a pic of the short 6 inch harness I found on another thread that you cut in half, splice your wires into it and plug into the factory harness inside the hatch.

I noticed those single swing arm shots have a metal cage around the jerry cans. Is that still the design that made it to production? I saw another member mention jerry can straps.
Also, Is the latching mechanism the same as in the pics?
Thanks in advance!

The can carrier has been updated, the cage style with the metal cover isn't used anymore.
Here is what it looks like now: Dual Jerry Can Carrier | C4 Fabrication

Woohoo, I finally get to post in this thread as an owner lol.
I picked up my bumper from FedEx and dropped it at the powder coater... there is a lot of parts to it. But for the record it will all fit then the back of the 4runner if you take it off the pallet.

So with all the bells and whistles, both swing arms etc., what is the weight? 200 lbs?

On the first page of the post it lists the weight of the bumper as 170 and swing arm as 80. Since then a dual swing out was made available, however I was told by Caleb the weight was the same at 250#

Was the exhaust notably louder with the tip cut off?

No cutting the back of the exhaust off will not make any difference to the sound because that is after the muffler

Are you concerned you'll smash the exhaust coming off a rock? I have mine cut off also and just put an angle on it so it ends up just inside the bumper and slightly below

your exhaust tip placement is exactly where i hit, scratched up, and dented my oem bumper during offroading. that is the reason why i decided to buy this C4 rear bumper.
