Need help Identifying my new to me 4Runner

My bride and I just recently sold our Gen 3 98 Limited 4Runner, and bought a used 2015 4runner with only 16K miles on it. The dealer had it listed as an SR5, but I am starting to question it.

The Vin# is JTEBU5JR2F5205###

https://parts.olathetoyota.com/vin-decoder

This is what I have found on a the toyota Vin Decoder:

Basic Vehicle Data
Model Year: 2015

Make: Toyota

Model: 4Runner

Trim Level: Trail 4WD

Manufactured in: JAPAN

Production Seq. Number: 205480

Specifications - General
Body Style: SPORT UTILITY 4-DR

Engine Type: 4.0L V6 DOHC 24V

Transmission: 5-Speed Automatic

Driveline: 4WD

Tank: 23.00

Fuel Economy-city: 17

Fuel Economy-highway: 21

Anti-Brake System: 4-Wheel ABS

Steering Type: R&P

Capacities & Dimensions
Standard Seating: 5

Optional Seating: No data

Length: 191.30

Width: 75.80

Height: 71.50

Does this sound right to you guys? The other thing is there is zero decals. No SR5 or anything on the side of the rig. This normal? Some of the Trail models I see on here have the hood scoop, which I don't have. Just trying to figure out what we have.

Thanks in advance!!!

If your 4wd shifter looks like this then you have a trail. If it is a knob you turn then you have a Sr5 or non - trail 4runner.

Could have a slight lift, hard to tell, maybe just spacers.

For 16K, those tires look rough. If this is a TOY dealer, that should be available as a CPO (which, me, I'd want). If, stress if, they won't CPO it, find out why.

Thorough test drive is in order.

It has spacers. No third row seating, no sun roof, no leather, power driver seat only.

We bought it a couple of weeks ago. Everything is perfect, runs great, clean CARFAX. Got it for 31K. Tires are not my favorite, will be putting some KO2’s on it shortly.

Will those side door protection just peel off?

I think the most obvious difference is Trail models have e locker rear right? No SR5 will have an elocker, just look around inside for the button

Before you even get close enough to look inside the lack of a hood scoop, bumper valances and turn signals in the mirrors would be the first indicators its an SR5.

After that the manual t-case v electronic shift should settle the debate.

And what's up with that molding on the side...

Use a heatgun on a low setting or a hair dryer and slowly warm it up. Emphasis on slowly. Then use fishing line or floss and run it behind the door protectors to separate the tape. Essentially those door protectors are just a big ugly emblem.

Try searching "how to remove emblems"
