Next Upgrades???

Wanted to gauge from you guys what next upgrades should be. I like to spend money on "functional" upgrades and spend smartly like I'm sure most of you do too.

Current set up:
-Full Skids
-3" Lift
-sliders
-wheels/ 285s
-K9 rack with RTT
- CB

Thinking of:
- 43" light bar on roof
- Maxtrax
- keep the cash $$
- Highlift w/ mounts

Thoughts?

I think of mods as a necessity more than a nice to have.

Light bar is not a necessity and unless you go out by yourself often, you wont use it. Why, because you'll probably be in a group and you dont want to blind the people in front of you.

Only time I have used my "behind the grill" lights is when I have been alone at night, which I can count on one hand.

Also, now that my truck is out of warranty... I would rather save for repairs than unnecessary mods.

With that said, maybe invest in a nice first aid kit? HAM radio comms or GPS phone? Recovery, like you mentioned traction pads.... Check out Tred pros

Just my Friday input

If "keep the cash $$" is ever one of the options, then that is probably the smartest one to go with (also the least fun). I would say that a traction aid would likely be the most "useful" progression in terms of items to add, but if you haven't found them necessary enough before to buy them then you likely don't "need" them now.

I would keep the $$ invest more in my 401K if not maxed out, setup a 529 plan for my kids, or save it for a rainy day where I find that one of the options on the list or another one is now a necessity and not just a decoration on my vehicle.

Although I am as much a hypocrite in this as the next person.

Then, spend some on a very good trip, then from that learn what you really need next.

Toyota components are bullet-proof. Issues often arise from poor wiring, assembly and/or maintenance. Suspect those first.
Next only to our senses, the multi-meter is the most important electrical diagnostic tool. Spend $6 at Harbor Freight or $$$ blindly replacing parts.
