Looks good. Interested to see how it turns out with the stock fender. I’m definitely considering these. The only thing holding me back is having everything exposed on the side with no extra protection. I know CBI has a guard for some of the lines and the washer bottle on the passenger side, however from your pictures, they look completely exposed. Also worried about potential damage if they get hung up on a rock. These don’t look like they would be able to support the weight of the vehicle and I don’t want them to turn into damage multipliers.

We're going to include a cover, but in all my years of wheeling I've NEVER crushed my washer bottle. Any guard that is included wont be able to withstand the weight of the truck anyway. That goes for whatever company includes them. It's more of a feel good guard than anything and only really serves to cover up the guts. The best situation would be to relocate the washer bottle if you're really concerned.

As far as them being strong enough, I assure you they are incredibly stout. They are made from the same materials as our rock sliders and dare I say STRONGER than some of the full bumper 1/8" ornamental "shells". Side impact will be substantial and we are adding gussets in key areas to minimize upward deflection.

There is no magic bullet, however, to keep everything from being damaged at all times. There is a lot to be said of picking the correct line and not over driving your vehicle. These will provide current Slimline owners that clearance they need right under their tire WHILE adding that much needed protection for bumps and bruises.

In fact, I'll give a $100 gift certificate to the first person that shows me that they damaged their washer bottle on the trail from a rock puncture.

I can certainly understand your concern for the protection of the lines and washer bottle, but just thinking more into it, if you hit a rock or dropped off a line onto something hard enough to damage the lines and washer bottle..the stock bumper's plastic surely wouldn't hold the trucks weight up and protect those items. A guard over that stuff seems like it would be more for cosmetic purposes. So I see the new slimline extensions as a big protection improvement. Not arguing with you, that's just what comes to mind for me!

For the protection of the lines and washer bottle, it was more a concern for them getting sandblasted by debris and small rocks on the trail. As well as just hiding it from sight. The “feel good” guard SSO mentioned above seems adequate for me here.

When I mentioned the damage multiplier I was thinking back to this video where a new cement 5th gen gets hung up on a rock, backs up and rips his whole bumper off. Obviously this started with a bad line/decision to begin with but the bumper failed where it needed to and I would rather have a few tweaks or scuffs on in plastic bumper than something worse happening with these.

I think SSO answered most of my concerns here and if they say they’re on par in terms of protection with the full bumpers, I think that’s enough for me. I’ll most likely pick them up once they come out since end of May-June it will be time for new tires and I can size up a bit with these.

You bring up a good point, but seeing as a lot of people daily their vehicle, I would imagine exposed parts are also exposed to flying debri on the highways. Not sure what others' experiences are but I've had my fair share of debri dodging and windshield replacing. Anyways, really excited you all came up with an awesome product. This is on the top of my list!

Since I am stuck at 300.00, SSO could just forgo the remainder of the cost and send these to me anyway. That would make sliders, a slimeline bumper, and the bumper protection. Yeah that's what I think.

Actually do have another refer working, just waiting on the bumper to ship....

Can't wait for photos on a stock setup without custom work-- pretty much gives me the optimal setup. Didn't want a full bumper because I specifically bought a 14+ for the new front, didn't want a slimline because it doesn't actually do anything besides hold a winch

Ehh... I wouldn’t say that.
Maybe for people who actually don’t wheel their rigs.
(Which then why even have a winch)
The slimline is stout, and will take a beating.
After all, it’s a bumper, it’s armour, and serves more purposes than holding that winch.

But, I’m with you on the front end. I love the factory front end and never wanted to lose it completely. Get you a Slimline, you won’t regret it, and these extension pieces will really beef up and strengthen this set up!

I'm still on the fence, but I have until next year's tax return to decide. I loved the look from the front at Jambo, but wasn't thrilled with the side view. I am curious about what it would look like if you carried the plate almost all the way back on the tube. Maybe with lightening holes and a continuous curve facing the chassis side to save weight? This is one of those times I wished I had Photoshop. I hope you don't mind but I did fix your one picture.

And I have stuffed my Slimline in the opposite bank of a ditch more than once. It does make a difference in confidence when approaching certain obstacles but you do still need to be circumspect about the corners. At least without this addition.
