Limited Bumper Conversion and Sensors

I have the 2017 Limited and in a position to do the bumper swap. Curious, for those that did the swap, where did you mount the sensors? And for those that eventually installed the C4 or Southern Style Off Road low profile bumper/winch, did they affect the sensor or did the sensor detect the the bumper, winch, shackles, etc?

Thanks.

Awesome! I don't have any answers but I will be doing the same thing fairly soon as well. Good question as I would like to know that as well. I've seen where people have put the sensors, but wondered about if it will be an issue adding the low profile bumper/winch.

Looks amazing. I can't wait to do mine. Was it pretty easy to install the sensors? Is there much to it other than drilling a hole? Wasn't sure if there was some type of adhesion needed or if it just fit like a glove after drilling the hole.

It’s not mine but according to the owner,it’s fairly easy to install the sensors on an SR5 bumper

Uhm.. did Toyota make SR5’s in Blizzard Pearl? I’m confused and intrigued.

No it's a Limited Blizzard Pearl that converted their front bumper to the SR5 bumper.

Right. The bumper just doesn’t look like super white, must be the light in the photograph.

Not what you're looking at, but yes they did. My '10 was BP.

If anyone here is considering doing this conversion and want to keep the sensor function, they should get the SR5 bumper. Trail/TRD Pro rear valance sits where the sensors would have been.

I'm sure i could've come up with a way to get the sensors on there, but I'm not in the mood to be creative at the moment.

Limited Bumper Conversion and Sensors

I was gonna do the SR5 bumper swap but I changed my mind just because I want to keep the sensors in original form.
To me,it looks unique and better than the pro bumper now.

Sub'd. Want to get a SSO or C4 bumber, but know I have to do this first...was hoping someone w/the sensors could do a full write up..

I looked at the bumpers, and looks like it is plug and play. The wiring harness unplugs from the daisy chain wiring that support the sensors. The daisy chain is held by an adhesive tape against the backside of the bumper.

I was also planning to get the low profile bumpers eventually. As I looked at it some more, I noticed that it sticks out further than the front valance. Especially with the front tow/winch hooks. Now I'm wondering if these sensors will see those and keep alerting.

Anyone here with the SSO or C4 low profile bumpers can chime in? Please let us know where you mounted your front sensors in your reply.
