Stopped at Autozone after leaving the dealers lot and bought and installed blind spot mirrors for the 2,000 mile drive home.

Interesting, I’ll have to watch for that. I’ve not had any issues yet and they are holding up well. After years of Weathertechs I like these because they are softer (quieter) and don’t show dirt or salt like the others. I’m pretty anal about my vehicle and these look much cleaner. I can hit with a microfiber and a little Adams detail spray any they look brand new. Never could keep my others that clean without removing regularly and scrubbing down.

Yeah the bottom half of the plastic nut broke on mine. Don't get me wrong, they still work fine but it is kind of annoying.
I would also agree that the Maxpiders have a nicer look to them.

my first "real" mod was modifying the FJ shift knob to fit the 4Runner. got the idea while checking out a TT FJ in the dealership showroom when i was signing papers on my new Trail. i never liked the OE knob and when i sat in the FJ i was like, "this would be perfect."
Gear shift knob change

Thanks for the replies all.
I've read all the posts and it's amazing how some of you start slow and others immediately started swapping out suspension etc...
I'm a slow start kind of guy and haven't had my 4R a month yet. I think first will be blacking out the emblems with the overlay kit. Is there a preferred place to buy this? I've seen the kits on ebay from roughly 75 all the way up to $140...
Maybe some interior LED's after that. I'm not really interested in adding custom paint but would like to do Rausch Creek if i can find time this summer. Hope to skip the paint customization though haha
then maybe wheels and grille. Mine is white and my kids and I love the stormtrooper look.

For the emblems I just found the cheapest place on ebay with free shipping, paid around $75

I don't plan to do anything to the suspension, one of the main reasons I bought a brand new truck, can't lift it because it needs to still fit in the garage. I have however spent WAY too much, and way more than I intended to spend on accessories for this truck in the last 6 or so months lol
