Why a dual battery setup.

So should someone have a dual battery setup to operate several light bars, a winch? Is this for when your stationary (4Runner off.) if I don’t plan to operate any battery juice hungry accessories while my 4Runner is turned off. Would an alternator that pushes out more amperage and maybe replace original battery with a deep cycle battery be perfectly fine with my setup?

Maybe it would help if we had more info on 'your setup'
