Alot of money for something not designed for our trucks and may need to be modified. My 2 cents.

$50 is definitely worth it for a snorkel that doesn't look like the flexed bicep emoji though

Looks and appearance are subjective. I like the way the Safari looks. Snorkels all over the world look pretty similar. They are not a fashion statement they are all function. If your building a mall crawler than I guess whatever.
I think that one looks like a wet sock draped over the corner of the windshield. It doesn't seem nearly as functional. It won't fit perfectly. You have to figure out the fitment. But to each his/her own. Do what makes you happy.

lol this thread tickled me
The Safari one does look pretty pants tbh, 80's design on a 2000's truck .
I'm deffo function over fashion but come on, there is ugly and there is UGLY. They'd be better off with a more oversized angular design with a smooth interior vs the look that you just picked up a leech from a water crossing!
The design of the one in the OP's post is better looking for sure but also that weird looking end piece looks lame too.. Surely someone has a keen eye in the R&D of snorkels, they look alright on an 80 series like they made an effort to make it attractive.

I agree that is the correct approach to a better matching snorkel for the runner.
While everyone waits for a company to possibly maybe make a snorkel, I'll be out adventuring with my 80's throwback fender leech.

I hope TJM does make a specific snorkel for the 5th Gen. Seems like they are getting more products to the USA and becoming popular here so we can hope.
I am still on the fence with the ARB due to the size, yes I know it works, but boy...

This is the contact info for the TJM rep I spoke with at Expo. He should be able to provide more details about their snorkel.

So, kinda like the hood scoop? That thought just popped into my head. If you have a trail with a snorkel you have two intakes visible. Clearly, one is fake. LOL

I see a couple photographs on the net and it looks pretty good. Much smaller than the ARB that runs down the entire fender.
I looked at TJM website but do not see it listed?

I think the one disadvantage to this design is the four 90 degree bends that the air must run through in order to get to the air intake.

Would be cool to see someone build a better fitting one like this LC200.

The big question is this snorkel a 5th Gen specific or a Prado one? I am in the market for a snorkel and this one has my eye more then the ARB.
Guessing by the link it will be a 5th Gen specific snorkel. And is that price correct????? If so sign me up!!!

Hmmm, anyone want to buy an ARB snorkel from me?
Joking aside, it is certainly more low profile then the ARB - makes me wonder why the ARB runs so long along the fender vs this which seems to just poke through.
Always happy to see more 5th gen support
