I ask because I see that there is one with the celsius, but he is in Canada. Not know if can select, or got to buy a certain display, or it not work at all.

edit; this is a cool mod, only found out about it from another thread, this might be my first "real" mod I do.
It will display in the units your truck is set to. The part is the same for all trucks.

Ok, thank you. Looked and seems have to have the dealer do some techstream thing to get the units changed.

Yeah you'd have to techstream it to intentionally switch the truck over to Celsius. The AMD will just parrot whatever's currently on your speedometer display.

This is the one item i miss the most from my 2010 Trail, definitely in on the next group buy. Probably just gonna buy the new display instead of hunt for one. Don't have much spare time.

You should be able to do it yourself. Go into settings in the little screen between the speedo and tach

The accessory meter does not respond to the override. All lights will dim accordingly with the adjustment wheel as expected - but the override won't work with the accessory meter.

Please let me know if this is intended behavior.
Right, so this is the intended behavior in that the display will only be as bright as the LED back lit buttons on the dash when the headlights are on. With headlights off, the display is back lit by 11 LEDs which are powered via accessory power. When the headlights are on, those 11 LEDs are joined by the mode and set button LED's. Those combined 13 LED's are then powered by the lower voltage from the dimming + circuit and are grounded by the dimming - wire (Grey wire). The button's dim with the click wheel.

If you use the override on the dimmer wheel, you should notice that only the Instrument cluster and Radio screen are the only things that brighten up with the override click. This is because the LED driver chips for dimming, etc. are located on the instrument cluster PCB, and the brightening message for the radio screen is sent from the instrument cluster via the CAN BUS to the radio.

I have a pic of the unit when first installed (west) and now it's changed on it's own after going for a drive (now says south when parked in my garage).
Well by driving you essentially calibrated it in a way lol. Does the direction heading still have the "." next to it? The compass inside the display (wierd little block below the display) is basically a copper coil that senses the magnetic fields. I will post up a picture of it later today if I get a chance. I would still calibrate it via the internal menu in the display. Just find an empty parking lot to do it.

As far as dimming is concerned, the meter is not dimmed by the wheel as you mentioned, but by its own built-in function.

Press and hold the ďModeĒ button for about 5 seconds to get to the dimming mode and make your selection. There are three levels.
Yes, just make sure your headlights are off when you hold "Mode" to get into the menu.

It does a few things in the settings, but not change to Celcius.

My Ford Edge was able to, but that was the only positive thing about that POS, lol.

I will just get in on this group buy thing, then after install, will get the dealer to techstream where I can have a celcius read out.

Yes, the dot was there. The compass was slightly off where my nav would go from N to NW first, then the accessory meter would switch a few seconds later (as my vehicle turned even more).

I calibrated it today and it matches as intended - dot is gone as well.

Thanks again, Tanner!
