Install process notes:

1) The metal tabs on the radio WILL scratch anything they touch.
2) The plug that controls the AC WILL plug into the empty radio socket.
3) There is a set of wires on the radio that you do not have to unplug
4) The two wires on the harness go on the same side of G13
5) The first notch on the key turn will just light up the clock, the second is the one that will tell you if the install went right.
6) A sharpie to lable the plugs you pull out will speed the reinstall.

Some more pics:

The top is the plug that shows the LIGHT GREEN wire to be tapped (#4 from right side)
The second is G13 showing both wires plugged in.

All in all a most excellent build!

I had bugged Old Red with various incorrect LCD displays until he was able to tell me what and where to look for one.

#5 for the win!

Honestly though, I want to post on the main board the question you ask. What is the best way to locate a used part from the yards. I just have not formulated the question to avoid the obvious replies (eBay, parts.com, etc) I can locate the parts car at the auction web pages but I can not follow them to the parts yard they go to so I can ask for a quote/pull.

I would just like to add...

When inserting the wires into the G13 clip you must release the white plastic lock otherwise the wires won’t go into the black harness all the way and ‘click’ in place. You have to pry that little white plastic lock part away from the clip like it’s coming out. This was stated in the original how to, I was just confused on what direction that white plastic lock part should be going. It makes sense once you get it but I thought I was going to bust the clip prying in all directions. You have to pry it away from the black clip, as if the clip was laying on a table and the white piece was facing up, you pry it up, then seat the wires then snap it back in place.

Works Great!

Installed mine today and love it! Great job on the instructions and thanks again for the hard work to figure this out and create the harnesses!! Highly recommend to anyone considering doing this, you won't regret it!

I did the mod yesterday and would definitely praise Old Red for his workmanship on the harness, dedication to support of his work and the extremely detailed How To. The parts I would like to emphasize is #1 to re-emphasize Turfboy's comment that The two wires on the harness go on the same side of G13. By same side, another way of saying it is if you pinch the edge of the G13 clip that the two wires go into between your thumb and forefinger, the wires would both be next to your fingers... one under your thumb your thumb and the other under your finger. Old Red's How To showing those wires and where they go is really detailed but unless you are paying really close attention (just like he instructs you to do) it is easy to miss that he flips the G13 between the two pictures.

Next thing is a part I was still not comfortable with and would have liked to see more detail about how to remove the softex material behind the steering column while taking out the cluster bezel. here is a picture with more detail about how the clips to that softex look and showing the rigid part that anchors the softex which is where you need to pry to avoid ripping the delicate softex.

Cheers, and thanks again to Old Red for all of his work and the awesome Mod.

Hey guys, sorry for the absence as of late. I have been checking in but not posting. Work has been crazy, but it is starting to settle down. I have seen the feedback on adding some clarification to the original instructions/images, and will be doing so. You guys are awesome! what can be clear to me may not be so for others, so if more detail is needed on a certain step, or better images, etc. I am more than happy to update/clarify.

Finding a used blue screen is a royal pain. I just don't feel like paying almost $400 for this by buying a new screen.

About $365 shipped is not too bad, you can always keep your old screen as a backup
