review of no drill full length roof rack options

I see options including the newer SSO,k9, Gobi, and prinsu 7/8. Also looked at the slimline. Any thoughts on the SSO and any +’s and -‘s? Looking for full length no drill that can possibly do a RTT, a few cases, and fishing rod locker. Any thoughts on the best option?

My ecotechne is doing well with a huge XL RTT.

Yeah that sucks if that is the case. Last I looked it seemed like they were still being delivered as of last week. I was an early adopter so YMMV.

Yeah I wouldn’t go there with current events going on in the country of manufacture. I’d do a Prinsu.

i have a prinsu 7/8 and while I like it alot, if I had to do it again, i'd get a frontrunner or rhino rack, mainly due to the accessories (or in this case, with prinsu, the lack of accessories). Remember you are investing into their universe so to speak, more options for accessories, means less headaches for you.

Sure you can adapt whatever accessories you want to the prinsu, but running back and forth to home depot trying to buy the correct size carriage bolts gets old real quick.

also buying racks from boutique manufactures gets old real quick, mainly b/c you have to deal with their BS when it comes to delays, lack of customer service, lack of communication, etc. I rather buy off the shelf next time.

Still making a few tweaks, but I think it's finally done after this. Full, no drill, all steel. Integrated wind faring on the first crossbar. New crossbar design that should be a little more user friendly. Obviously handles the RTT well.

Lots of haters, but GOBI. Love my Stealth. Although I would not have waited the crazy wait times for one. I found a used one and touched up some of the paint myself. (I probably waited just as long to find a used one though lol). And while it is heavier than aluminum, it's the best looking IMO, and strong as hell. Plus the mesh floor is great. I can throw WHATEVER I want up there, no specialty accessories required. I also love putting a chair up there and just relaxing. In addition, with the crossbars, I can still use whatever accessories I used to use before the rack, such as yakima/thule snowboard racks. Mesh floor + crossbars > slats and bolts IMO. I almost got a frontrunner though, because the seach for a GOBI was going nowhere fast haha.

I got mine last year as well, but I wouldn't go with them again. I had it re-powdercoated and mounted. It looks good up there but I'd go with an SSO if I was ordering again today.
