Sprint Booster DEAL for 5th Gen 4Runner
At the request of many members I worked a deal on this and am passing it on.
NOW IN STOCK. I'm running this price for a few days and see how they sell, but will have to raise it soon.
Burtman Industries Sprint Booster, V3 SALE!
If any questions, etc, you can always call and order over phone too, or text 717-319-2100
(I've sold a slew of these for the Honda Ridgeline (another vehicle with the same issues as the 4Runner) because that truck has some natural hesitation and people loved them. These don't give more hp, which many think that's what it does. It makes the vehicle feel more like there's a direct link, a cable link from the pedal to the throttle body, which most of these drive by wire setups still aren't instant like an old school cable would be. Gives a more instant feel when merging from an exit onto the highway, more instant response when mashing the throttle, and quick pass bys where you may need to get out the way quick, it's just all around more instant.)
There are some recent installs here will good feedback:
Sprint Booster
also, play the first 3 min of this YouTube video!

I expected this . . . The reason I ask is because the pedal commander has an eco mode.

Hmm...this is very interesting. I'm new to the forum and have not heard about this product before. However, I have noticed on my 4Runner that there appears to be a "lag" when gassing the car.
What is the return policy for the booster if one cannot tell a difference/is not happy with the results?

There is NO GOING BACK! It's great because you can manually adjust throttle response at any time. When I am by myself, a slower response time is fine, but when I am carrying 5 others with the A/C on driving the freeway, I bump it to max and get that instant acceleration. When your on the trail and you want that lag to help with articulation, just turn it off.
My old Lexus had the Eco/normal/sport modes built in, and this helps bring that feature to the 4Runner. NO REGRETS!

I don't really like it. Well, let me be clear. I used a Vitesse Throttle Controller, which in essence is the same thing. I found that it did give the throttle a small amount of "sharpness", which I think some will perceive as taking away some of the lag that all throttles, cable or our electronic, inherently have. There is absolutely no power to be gained here, so just be clear what you're getting. The other issue I had, and many, many shared the same issue on the Camaro and Corvette forums, is we developed a CEL for the throttle position sensor, and it was only remedied by disconnecting the controller.
I won't be buying it for my 4Runner, and would rather spend the $$$ on a better intake or exhaust, but knowing that neither of those will fix the lack of power our motors have. I didn't buy it to race, so I don't care.
Not trying to rain on anyone's Sprint Booster parade, but when I read your quote, I felt the need to share.
