I have an SB on the way. I have a question before it gets here. I see that it does not present a problem and is pretty much undetectable to the dealer if taken there for maintenance. If you unplug it, does it automatically go back to the "factory setting"?

Just picked up one of these from Jason and it is worth the $'s. My 2014 SR5 was a dog in third gear. This booster makes it a totally different truck. Buy one, you wont be sorry.

My 2014 Limited was stolen out of my driveway. Either they got the key code via my VIN and address, or they used some other method that avoided forced entry.
Anyone who's had their vehicle stolen knows the paranoia lingers and never really goes away, once it's happened to you.
Now I have a 2015 and have taken measures and added some safeguards.
I want to add the Sprint Booster's pedal lockout as an extra layer of security, but I'm worried it's a time-consuming process to get into lockout mode and then key in the three digit PIN each time. In comparison to say a kill switch which is simply a quick flick of one switch.
Can anyone comment on the ease (or difficultly) of using this pedal lockout feature on a daily basis? Roughly how many seconds to lock and then unlock, would you estimate?
Thanks.

Wow Lightspeed. That sucks. I would feel paranoid too.

Correct! It has nothing to do with the ECU and undetectable from the obdII port. It doesn't show up. You don't have to unplug it, just cycle the button to off, and it's at the factory setting. This doesn't void the warranty, no worries. IF you want, you can unplug it and it will remember the last setting you had it on.

Yes, this is the best thing since sliced bread. And I love bread.

Also, I saw no need to actually mount the controller. What I did was route the wiring up into the area where the fuse block is. From there, I was able to slip the control through the slot in the door/cover so it would just hang out for access/adjustment. Once you find the sweet spot setting for you, you’ll really never touch it again, so you can just tuck it back in behind the cover where it won’t show, but will always be easily accessible should you need/want to make an adjustment.

I’ve had mine for a few weeks. I have only tried Green 9 and left it there as I felt that was great as per others recommendations. Best upgrade that can be done to a T4R.
