I'm digging this thread up a bit as my handles were showing signs of this a bit this spring but in a matter of the past few months have gotten pretty bad.
From what I see they only sell the complete handles even though it looks like that outer part is just a 'cover' of sorts.
I looked at the link for the covers but was not a fan of the style/colors that offer.
I am fine going OEM, but it did not look like a simple replacement from the Youtube video I saw.
How hard are these to replace and is there a better solution or quicker fix for this issue? Thanks!

I’m getting ready to do this on my 13 limited. I’ve been using some Amazon handle covers that now are looking like shit.
The front handles and cover appear to be removable without removing the inner door panel.
The rear handles it appears will require removing the inner plastics, but we will see.
When I get all the parts I’ll take a few pics and report back. Doesn’t look to be a difficult install.

Door Handle is cracking -
Been researching this lately and found out that the ‘20-‘21 venture and nightshade have these smart handles in black.
Another find is that these also fit on the ‘19-‘20 land cruisers offered in Blizzard Pearl.
does anyone know if these are interchangeable with with our ‘10-‘19 limiteds ?
This guy is selling a new set.

Here are the Amazon black covers on my truck. I plastic dipped the exposed door handles before applying the covers.

For those looking to replace with OEM, are you going to replace with chrome or color match? I have had trouble finding the part numbers for the chrome OEM handles. I can only find the color matched.

Color match. It is confusing on the limited color codes but when I look the handle parts up for say a TRD Pro with smart key I get returned all -B0 parts for silver. There is usually one part I see in that listing with the same color code but the description states “for limited” which I interpret as chrome. Not sure why these are listed separately, under the same code but for different colors.
I should have my handles by Wednesday of next week and can confirm I didn’t get the chrome handles lol, but I’m fairly certain these are color matched silver.

Don’t get the night shade smart handles for pre-20. It does not fit
It only has two wires in the plug and the grooves for the plug is different

Is there a matte option with smart entry? I love the look of the old trail handles, but I think they were all w/o smart entry.
I debated the clear coated black handles for a long time before getting silver. Those are gonna look great.

Seems like an unpopular opinion on the forum, but I actually like the chrome handles on my 2012 SR5. I think they tie in well with the rest of the chrome accents. I'll get black though, if I can't track down chrome. I've tossed around trying to sell my 4Runner, so I've been touching up or replacing a few things as needed.

I agree, if you chrome accents then you keep the chrome handles. As for me, I de-chromed my limited

AFAIK, the smart handles come in multiple colors except matt black
