GPS Adapter

Anybody know of an adapter to go from the stock GPS cable to an aftermarket head unit requiring SMA?

This one almost looks correct, but the center doesn't quite look compatible: https://smile.amazon.com/Electrical-...ntenna+adapter

Here's a pic of the back of the stock unit with the GPS connection circled. Also pics of the connector I need the adapter for. Anyone have experience with this?

Truck is a 2017 TRD ORP non-JBL, with Nav

Not really needed though. The OEM GPS antenna is just 6 inches further back in the dash stuck to a metal bracket under the top dash pad. Just stick your new antenna in the same spot. Applies to 2014 - 2017 5th gen.

I was thinking that myself. I was just looking to get the cleanest install possible, but if the one that comes with it is just as functional and it's that easy to place, then yeah, I'll just save the $28. Thanks!

The new one will be 12ft or more of cable and you only need about a foot. Coil up the extra and don't put any sharp bends in the extra cable and you'll be fine

Sorry to pull up this thread, but it is relevant to what I am trying to find out. I pulled the wire out of the factory plug on the GPS... so now no GPS....

Does anyone have a replacement part number for just the Cable? or is it the whole unit that needs to be replaced? I really hope not....

Thanks

I bought a GPS module with connector (not correct connector) but it can be modified easily to fit the head unit. I could not figure out how to get it in the same location as the original but i stuck it to the side of the head unit. To my happy surprise, it worked.

Made a youtube how-to on this in case others want to try / have some feedback:
