Pre-Facelift Perforated Grilles

Does anyone have any pictures of the Customcargrilles Perforated style grilles (Gloss Perf SS) on a pre-facelift 5th gen? I'm thinking about going that route but have yet to see what it looks like on one, especially with a matching bottom grille. Thanks!

Came to this post to flame you but they don't look bad at all and the price is decent. Maybe get the FJ Toyota one.

For what it's worth you could just paint the oem one.

Not sure what you mean by painting the OEM one. What I'm talking about is the grille inserts, the mesh. I would like to replace the top one with a different mesh so that I can have the logo say 'TOYOTA' instead of the emblem logo. I was then asking about the bottom bumper grille because it would probably look weird having two different styles on the car. It's essentialy the Satoshi grille mod up top and then a custom fit one for the bottom.

OEM = original equipment manufacturer

Sand and paint the stock mesh. > Buy the fj toyota logo. Install. > Save

Or just spend the money w.e. assuming they fit well they look clean.

the stock mesh is totally different, there isn't anything similar stock to paint. this looks more similar to the mesh for the satoshi mod

....yeeeeahhh gonna have to disagree with you on that one. You seem to already have your mind made up so feel free to waste your money. I tried to help. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Edit: I see what your saying tho. But you can just paint the toyota logo and bar.

Shit dude, are you high? Please do not comment on my thread if you have no clue what I am asking here. You are confused. All I wanted to see is if anyone had pictures of the 'perforated' grille insert on their pre-facelift 5th gen. It has NOTHING to do with painting anything. It is the Satoshi mod of the original grille and mesh insert. Then I was also asking to see if anyone had the 'perforated mesh' grille on their bumper to match. Yeesh, like talking to a child.

This is the mesh on top that I wanted to see matched at the bumper too. I would be wanting the 2.5" style "TOYOTA" logo, not the 3" letter one they have shown.

Yeah I didn't realize the stock one had all that crap in it. I have an 18 myself.

I say get the set if you want. But you can also do mesh DIY and save a bunch of money. Not hard. I did it on a 1990 E30 M series race car and it looked dope. Then you just get the toyota logo and attach it. Prob cost you 1/6th the price of the one you posted.

I mainly want to do it just to change the Toyota emblem, but haven't settled on what mesh I would want to go with. Only a couple people have the "gloss perf ss" style mesh, not the regular diamond pattern. I just wanted to see if anyone that had done that style also did their bumper opening too. I haven't decided where I would get the supplies yet, but customcargrille just had a good selection and precut also. Might just end up doing something like this:

That mesh is a little smaller than I like. Will probably just do a larger style diamond to match the lower grille.
