You’ll benefit more from king secondary bypasses than you will that supercharger

That is fantastic... Now just to make it single side disconnect like my factory one. I've had my front LT sitting in a box for almost a year now trying to decide if I can live without a front sway bar on the road.

I currently have a single side disconnect system that I fabricated. It allows one arm to be removed in about 2 minutes resulting in no swaybar. It's sort of the best of both worlds and I'm so hooked on it... it is hard to give up. Drives great on the road and even better off with the arm removed.

Can you please post a picture of it so I can see what would be involved in modifying it to be a disconnect.

Ha, I think I would want the supercharger first. Hardly anyone can make use of secondaries on a regular basis. The supercharager is a joy every time you drive it...

I have a 2016 4Runner with your factory length uppers and LCA’s and have been impressed... make that really impressed with the build when pulling the suspension apart (just to clean things up - no noticeable wear or play to be found) and with the travel offroad.

I am toying with another 150 series build and wanted to get your thoughts on 1) steering rack upgrade options 2) feedback from anyone at the shop or a customer who has engineered a font sway bar setup to go long travel and 3) options for the front differential if you are going to have a fairly heavy setup (35’s, beadlocks, and a 1UR-FE).
1.) Marlin Crawler is working on a steering rack kit, Solo Motorsports has what might be a reworked Tundra rack that requires some fabrication to mount. With 35's the stock rack will last a while, you can always increase the reservoir capacity and throw on a cooler and that should get you pretty far with the stock rack.

2.) Not sure you need a front sway bar with a proper set of heavier coils and a sway bar in the back. Weld on a panhard correction kit if you are lifted a bunch.

3.) Your front diff is more than strong enough for 35's, if anything you should be looking at strengthening the axle shafts, though as long as you don't wheel like a crazy person the stock axle shafts should last too. Solo Motorsports, RCV, and Lotus all have upgrade options for CVs.

Considering the new one mounts in the stock location and uses the stock links, I would think your current disconnect setup is transferable.

Looks pretty stock. I would not be able to transfer it over directly as it involves cutting the swaybar and fabricating a mechanical connection. But it could be done again. It's a very involved process though.

I don't have a picture handy of the latest rev of it, but can take one later to explain how it works. There are wheel studs and lug nuts that hold it together that are removed remove the one arm to eliminate the sway bar interference.

This is an old pic of the original rev.

Inv4drZm,

Thank you for the feedback.

1) On the rack - I reached out to Solo last year and if memory serves they were offering (or getting ready to offer) a modified Tundra rack. I have read up on the Marlin Crawler rack but no response when I emailed or left them a message. FWIW no issues yet but my 4Runner is lighter than the build I was planning...

2) I have driven Jeeps on and off road with sway bars disconnected or removed and while I think a well valued setup can make up for a lot, on the highway and side hill/off camber on trails I have always felt better wheeling with a Curry antirock versus disconnected. Maybe less of an issue for an IFS rig like the 4Runner vs a Jeep?

3) I appreciate the feedback on the front differential. I was going to order the lotus shafts but after chatting with a distributor I understand they have an upgraded outer but a factory shaft and inner. Not a bad option but I would probably stick with either the factory shaft (easier to replace than a diff on the trail) or go straight to RCV’s as long as I had (or rather continue to have) faith in the clamshell differential housing up front.
