I believe that handheld device Dimsport is what is used by Magnuson for their superchargers.... Correct me if I'm wrong here.
To OP, that looks promising but I don't have first hand experience with Vivid Racing flash tunes.

Woah! I’d love to learn more about this. Dyno Video is awesome. I’d like to know what was done on Stage 1 to achieve these numbers. Maybe a rep from Vivid can chime in? The 4Runner is a huge platform.

Man I hope this is real. Vivid racing is real big in the tuner car world. They have some good stuff. I’m very interested to learn what all it changes.

pretty decent bump, figure 10% over stock..that would be a nice improvement in the seat of the pants feel.guessing that more than likely comes from an increase in timing and fueling. wonder how it's done without requiring you to run premium??
either way, would definitely like to hear from someone on the site whose running it..

Gains certainly seem plausible and Vivid is a long-standing aftermarket shop in the car world... Color me interested...

I've been waiting for OVTuned which has said they'd have something this "winter".
Since these guys are reputable, I'll probably give it a shot next week and see what happens.

Well dang, since I already have a DimSport MyGenius, this might be worth it down the road.

Guarantee it requires premium fuel.

This is what it says under options:
You can select to get both Stages of our Tune. The Stage 2 is usually for those looking to maximize the performance of their vehicle. Though not required unless stated, this is usually for those running a performance exhaust and at least 91-93 octane fuel. Can only be done if OBDII flashing is available.
seems like you should be able to run the stage 1 on the regular octane.

From previous experience when running aftermarket tunes, they almost always require at least 91 octane unless they explicitly say 87 is fine. It is also safer to assume to use higher octane than lower at the risk of detonation and blowing your engine up.

Would like to see it hooked up to a wideband sensor to see what A/F ratio they are pushing. They should at least add one to the kit. Tweeking air fuel is where the gains are. To lean and "pop" goes the 6 banger. To rich you get unburnt fuel ignition in your cats and sounds like arse, while wasting said fuel. This all changes in relation to elevation, heat and barometric pressures to a certain extent.
