I bought the cheapest Mini VCI cable I could find on a Ebay and it fried the USB port on my laptop.

Then I bought an other Mini VCI cable and made sure to get one with firmware 2.0.4 which cost quite a bit more. This one seems to work perfectly.

i have several of these kits left if anyone is looking for one.
~$17 depending on your shipping address.

the software is not a plug n' play solution and will require some basic PC knowledge to get it up and running.

I purchased the cable a couple of weeks ago from the ebay seller mentioned on the first post and I was able to install the Techstream software (13.00.022) on Windows 10 (64-bit). The app launches fine and I can connect to the car and see several modules. However, when I try to read the TPMS codes/values, the application crashes. Anyone else having issues with the app or has been to successfully read the TPMS sensor codes?

Thanks for the info. I just sent the seller a message. What version of the software are you running?

I'm using 12.30.017 and TPMS works fine for me - I go through and remap sensors every time I rotate in my full-size spare.

Glad to hear that you can read and reprogram the TPMS, even better that it works with the OG 5th Gens (mine is a 2013). That's the main reason I bought the cable. I'm due for the 1st rotation of my new set of tires and would like to start a 5-wheel rotation with this set as I have a matching spare.

Closing the loop on this, I received a link to download v 12.30.017 and that version works fine with the TPMS sensors without crashing. Not sure what additional functionality is on the newer version , but the previous version works well with Win 10 64 bit.

Which firmware are these cables? 1.4 or 2.0?

Anyone have a link to the software? I have a cable that works with the vm do version and want to use my windows 10 machine for this. Not sure if it will work with the newer software so I’d like to try. If not ehaze do you have any cables left?
