Likely have to get a custom tune. The OTS tune from Magnuson is tuned for 92+.

Well I was ready to pull the trigger on ordering one this week but I wanted two question answered that I have read online conflicting answers. However, I can’t get an answer from the sales rep and I haven’t gotten a call or email back from their tech guys. Guess I’ll start looking at URD

Do these systems include flex fuel sensors?
Added expense and components, but would really add to the "go anywhere" and gas up with whatever premium fuel you have access to.

Additional updates?

I have the money set aside for a S/C and am debating URD versus Magnuson. Wanting it more for keeping in 5th gear as much as possible while on I-70 in Colorado and going up into the mountains at +70MPH. I really appreciate your detailed write up. Any issues since you last posted a few months ago?

I didn't see much of a 6k review? Can you copy/ paste the 6k specific information into a new post or add it to a separate section at the bottom of your first post?

I'd get the URD Whipple. It makes more power, runs cooler, and you can change your spark plugs without removing the supercharger. With the Magnuson you have to remove the supercharge to change the spark plugs.

To me that's not a huge concern. The supercharger can be lifted off in a matter of minutes, and spark plugs don't need changing very often. For me I'm leaning towards the Magnuson because it's CA legal, and it just seems more OEM. But I hear both the tune from Magnuson and URD sucks donkey kong, so I dunno at this point. Really wish Orange Virus could tune these rigs.

Very cool, thanks for the update. I might shoot you a PM the next time I’m in Pittsburgh visiting family. I’d like to see it in person some day. I’m far from doing something like this to my daily driver, but I could definitely see it as an option once the powertrain warranty is out and if I move back to daily driving a car again.
