Great review IMHO. I’ve had my ‘19 LE Nightshade with a dealer installed Magnuson for two weeks ... a tad over 400 miles. Very happy so far. I will be checking for coolant leaks, though. Are the leaks not covered under warranty or do you not trust them? If I detect leaks, I would probably attempt to take care of them myself, also. I my have to take the ‘Runner to our local 1/8 mile NHRA strip, though. It’s in my blood along with a hair trigger right foot. That said, I still haven’t done a full pull. Thanks again!

Congrats on the truck!
Regarding the leak, yes I could take it back to the dealership. But, he's not going to do anything besides what I've done (maybe even less and just tighten the worm clamp more). I did have a small pin head drop form on the bottom hose when we had the "polar vortex" hit our area. Negative 20 with the windchill and my truck sits outside. Washed it today and drove it around and all is dry. Level in the canister is the same. Not too concerned over it now. Will keep an eye on it and if a pin head continues to appear I'll do the 3/4 to 5/8 fix from tacomaworld.com.
Again congrats on the truck and S/C.

I've had no leaks swapping out the worm gear clamps with these:
McMaster-Carr
It also helps to smoothen out the areas the hose latches onto on the coolant reservoir as the "orange peel" like texture allows the coolant to find a path to leak out.

FYI. I have had this kit for what seems like years now. Mine was the second one installed outside of mag as part of the pilot program. I worked with magnuson to resolve some initial issues with the tune and installation guide.
0 issues since the install. Runs fantastic with great drivability.
Could the tune be better for raw performance? Absolutely(they left all the toyota factory torque mgt in place to protect the driveline and trans) does it matter at all... nope, Drives great for what a 4runner is good at. It's actually better for it in the long run to keep it in place (most people don't uderstand this) If you want to race something or smoke the tires off the line... look for a different vehicle or plan on building up a trans and rear end... If you want to pull hills with ease and have plenty of power on tap with OEM like quality and a factory ECU.. It's a very nice upgrade to a platform that lacks power from the factory.
The URD kit may be great also, but this absolutely fills the gap in power from the factory. It's a joy to drive and worth every penny in my book.

2020 now with TSS...possibly no S/C will be released??
Just reading the info coming from the Chicago AS regarding the upcoming 2020 4Runner. And...How bout that monsterous looking RAV4 TRD Off-Road! Whoa... Toyota seems to be slapping that "TRD" badge on a little too many vehicles in the line-up. Stay tuned for the TRD Off-Road Highlander next...
Back to my point regarding the 2020 T4R now with TSS. When I purchased my 2018 Tundra I wanted to slap the S/C on it. One problem was Magnuson didn't (still to this date) have a tune for the new ECM with all the safety stuff now incorporated into the truck. After repeating emails and phone calls I got a little more info from Jesse (Magnuson employee...very helpful too) regarding the tunes Magnuson uses for their supercharges. They leverage SCT for the tuning (at least for the Tundra). The Tundra now having TSS would require some significant work on the tune to take account for TSS.
Very possible the same will hold true for the 2020 4Runner and if Magnuson feels it's worth the time and effort to make a tune compatible with TSS knowing it's likely to have a new platform coming on the T4R within 24 months. Understanding there is a huge footprint of 5th gen 4Runners w/o TSS on the road ready for their product today...does it make sense to spend RnD money on a different tune for what will be a much smaller segment of 5th gen 4Runners.
That's a question...not a statement. Just using my experience with the Tundra and TSS as a background.

Couldn't agree more with your statements. Especially on the drivetrain and managing torque. As I noted earlier, my Tacoma S/C tune during WOT had noticeably different shifting during this period of WOT. I like the 4Runners tune much more and as I've told my friends it's not a drag car by any means.
Honestly I do not have to wind up my truck much past 3K anymore to get me moving.
And thank you for all the early posts you made regarding your experiences. Your feedback on the S/C really helped me decide on getting my own.

Catback exhaust? Reason I ask is to keep the warranty through Magnuson you can only do a cat back and not headers.
Pre-req is to ensure you/shop has the tune before tearing down the engine (see my first post about ensuring you have the tune prior to starting the work).
Also, run a full tank of 91+ through the truck and fill it back up with 91+ prior to dropping it off for the install.
If the S/C is being dropped shipped at dealer, ask them to take a pic of the serial number so you can have that recorded to send into Magnuson.
Congrats on the truck and S/C!

I spoke with Jamie and they had the units in stock. I had the unit the following week after submitting my order. Placed on 1/13/2019 and had the unit on 1/23/2019.

(OP), Did your dealer give you the tuner? I think my dealer is blowin' smoke up my a$$. Says it's a separate kit and they can't legally sell it. They supposedly have installed 5 so far and I'm thinkin' they've only got one tuner.
