Is there a professional testing committee that I havent heard of? Or are you saying people just going out and using the shackle mount?

You made a performance claim and I just asked if it was tested. If the number was just made up then easy enough to just say that.

I made the claim based on a number of things.

1. Roughly, a36 steel is rated at 36000 psi. So that 3/4" shackle point has a cross section over an inch and will pull about 40k lbs. The bolts are rated at over 50000 psi. The sheet metal frame will rip out before the bumper will fail.

2. C4 has sold thousands of bumpers. If only a tiny percentage has used their shackle point, even if one failed, the whole entire internet would know.

3. This is good steel with quality welds.

All I did was ask if there was any testing done.

Question - Will the trim piece to go around the cut area be included or should I go buy myself?
Thanks, do you mean the little piece of edge trim that we put onto the cut edge of the plastic?

Yes there has been plenty of real world testing done. We have pulled on these shackle points very hard in multiple recovery situations and never had a failure.

But as for actual scientific testing with number ratings or something like that we do not have the resources to do something like that.

Other than ARB I don’t think anyone does either so that’s fine. But others also shouldn’t be posting specific numbers.

I think that's what he meant, if not, I'd be interested to know if that is provided or we will need to buy it ourselves.

@C4 Fabrication - I was wondering the same thing if that edge moulding was going to be included in the order or not. If not, what product did you use? I like the textured finish and would probably go with the same thing. Seems like it wrapped and hugged the contours of the bumper nicely.

Anything from C4 regarding the different widths of light cutouts? I'd like to see (even with blue tape) the three different options.

has anyone bought a winch for the lopro bumper yet?
Already bought a smittybilt 9500 xrc gen 2 cable winch, but wondering if the power steering lines will clear it. My bumper wont be ready until end of March so should probably return it and get a wireless remote one if it doesnt clear.

I picked up a Smittybilt X20 12,000 with a synthetic rope. Just saw it on Amazon last night for $550 which is about $100 less than I paid!
